Mine did the same sent back and new bushes, seals done free of charge as guarantee is 2 years. Took it in on a Monday to my lbs and back on my bike on the Thursday .
My mate has one with 150mm pikes on and we ride in the peak, definately does not hold him back he is quick. He had a meta 55 before and says the tr is night and day better. The pikes help with that no doubt but it’s a really sorted frame.
The grime and grit in bad weather working it’s way into my bike and never being bothered to clean it off when I get home. That and the leaving in the dark and then coming home in it.
I bought mine new 2nd hand took them into lbs who sent them of to mavic. All done for free, think they are the same year as mine and it’s a fault with the hubs so I would send them off
What year are the wheels, mine did it after a couple of months so they went back and had totally different internals fitted. Been fine for about 10 rides so far
Down the monsal trail off after that book shop climb up that track which takes you onto the back road out of the golf course. Along the road a bit then descent through endsor. Past chats worth house through the grounds on to beeley moor. Left out of the gate and them down the descent through beeley plantation. Back over chatsworth down golf course descent or the other one and on to the monsal trail. Maybe a bit longer than a couple of hours
Can’t you go over to eyam from the top, riley graves and back up from Stoney Middleton to Longstone Edge then down the steps at Monsal and back round. (bit of a sh*t/vague effort I know)
Think it depends on the size of the parcel I recently bought a bar of them which was to big for collect + which meant I would have to sort postage for return. Told £12 by RM so kept bar as rules do not cover postage.
My mate has just built up a tr with pikes, reverb and hope bits and in the scientific lift test it feels reasonably light. Marginally lighter than another mates similar equipped five and with the frame at 875 a bit of a bargain.
We have about 30% left after all fixed costs which equates to around 1300 a month which I then seem to manage to somehow set fire too as I inherently unable to save.
Geology graduate but never done anything with it as all the jobs were overseas when I left university in 2000. Went into engineering then the civil service and now fixing bikes. My mate who graduated works in landfill but it is quite project management based rather than the actual science. It is an interesting subject though and I often wish I could have done something based round the subject.
I have been forced into 1 x 10 because I can’t get one for the enduro. Got a 30t race face ring with a 36 on the back it is not far off a granny with 32t at the back.
I have/had a trance really nice frame just a bit steep for what I wanted, this has been sorted on the new ones I think. Bearings easy to change and the new ones look better to.
My mate has just got one it’s a really nice looking bike and he rates the ride. Uses it the peaks and trips to lakes etc. he is rapid on it and says he never wishes for more travel. It is not über light but not heavy either just feels solid.
I think you can enjoy on as little or as much as you like. I like to constantly change and get new stuff. As a result my wife says I look like I live on the streets in my clothes which are considerably older than my kids.
