I’ve discovered that my planet x model b wheels are actually pretty light !

    1653grms vs the rs80 1521gms so we’re talking about 132grms… am I going to notice that !

I guess for all this bloody climbing the weight is going to be the thing so the aeros are probably out almost 1800g..

seems alright. Apparently its because it has colostrum in it… (from cows not breast feeding mothers). It has got quite a few calories per scoop though – either a good thing or a bad depending on if your trying to loose weight, but after a mega session I guess its better than scoffing a whole packed of fig rolls !

    The strawberry is…. drinkable !

Can order it from wiggle as well which was probably the main reason over all the others as its free shipping abroad 🙂

    Much cheapness at planet X

    planet X pedal deals

Think I have some time ones, got some extra bits on the cleats for mincing around in, actually quite useful.

    Think they’re called cafe cleats…

I’ve just purchased a planet X nanolight High modulus, its my first carbon road bike but… Its bloody amazing !

Its really stiff and very nice to ride.

Ok I have nothing to compare it to except my old steel road bike but its light, stiff and comfortable.

Did a 100km road ride on saturday no problem and a hill climb of 3000ft on tuesday night… no problem at all.

I don’t think you’d be disappointed as a first bike – I’m not. Not sure where these flexy comments come from, mine doens’t seem to flex at all (80kg).

Oh and the “black” (no paint) you can see the carbon weave which looks very nice indeed!

I had it spec’d with SRAM force and its flawless, smooth shifting, good brakes.

    hope it helps.

I ordered one but haven’t fitted it. A friend told me it was a mega pain to fit involving string and a set square..

    does that help?

Well looking at the price of the Ti frames has put a spanner in the works … Nanolight vs Ti with SRAM force, there is only a couple of hundred between them !

    spoon

I saw the Ti ones, also nice, for some reason I’m leaning towards carbon. To be fair anything is better than my steel Sunn road bike-given the amount of riding I’m doing think its time I upgrade.

There seems to be a lot of bike for your money at the 1K price tag, ribble, focus etc something v nice about the planet x ones, seem less garish than all the other offerings !

Just adding my pedals to the basket and then I’m eating pasta for a month…

V nice, is that stock ?

Unfortunately, They don’t have any whites in L so I’m forced to go for black.. ho hum less cleaning I guess.

Although the raw carbon looks pretty cool in some of the photos

Cool, All positive – I’ve convinced myself that while I wanted a white one then the guru colour,I can’t actually wait so I’ll have to stick with black – which from the pictures looks awesome anyway !

    spoon
    Free Member

Interesting, I was told the reason for low stock was as it was being replaced, don’t think I can wait that long anyway, the worry was that something better would come out of the price would be lowered to sell them off quick.

All the time its being sitting in my basket, I’ve ended up adding a ton of other stuff ! cunning tactics.
