As Sanny said Keith is not in the business of ripping customers off. It’s tough going trying to keep a bike shop going but Keith is doing well purely because of the service he provides. Did you happen to notice all the bikes inside and outside the shop??? They’re bikes that are waiting to be fixed, he did you a favor by fixing your kids bike on the spot and you paid £27 for the privilege, quit your moaning.

Hey mate, I’m the same height as you and ride a medium and find it ok however I plan to get a large at the end of the year. It’s not overly small or anything but I’m running a 65mm stem to stretch it out a bit, would rather have a little more room in the top tube. Great bikes btw, you won’t be disappointed!

I have a large (I’m 5’11) 2013 Rune with Pikes and CCDB Air.Like others have said it’s quite a substantial bike, mine weighs about 31-32 lbs. Depsite the weight though it climbs remarkably well but I’m guessing if you’re buying a bike like this your main focus is on the descents! It’s extremely confidence inspiring and very durable – I’ve done one full bearing change in 2 and a half years of heavy use. Would highly recommend it.

Another thumbs up for the Zealous Division. I bought the MK1 off a friend after about 10yrs of riding only full suss bikes and think it’s superb. Confidence inspiring and feels bombproof, also climbs well. Like Sillyoldman says, the latest version is lighter, longer and has better clearance.

I live in Langside about 5mins walk from Mt Florida station (not far from Battlefield rd as BoardinBob mentioned) and I think it’s pretty damn good, our street is quiet though we’re still only 5-10mins walk away from the hustle and bustle. I previously lived in Shawlands which was also good. Like many have said the transport links etc are great.
Vicky road isn’t what it used to be and in all honesty I feel pretty unsafe walking down there at night, in fact I’d go as far as saying its hole.
Have lived in the west end also and whilst it’s unbeatable for restaurants etc it’s crazy expensive to rent.

Thanks for the feedback people, keep it coming! I’m currently riding a Trek EX8 & whilst its a good bike it doesn’t really inspire confidence on rough downhills, the Rocket sounds pretty much ideal in this respect. I know being a steel bike means it isn’t going to be the lightest but I’ve read they can be built up under 30lbs? I’ll have a light set of wheels and another set for more DH type riding.
