I would strongly recommend not buying a Ben-10 bike from toys-R-Us. I had the displeasure of completely stripping my nephew’s and rebuilding it yesterday. It originally looked like it’d been built by a monkey.

My mate’s nippers have been moving through the Islabikes range with great success. His 6 year-old is irritatingly good already.

There a wallabies wandering around some part of the country. Escaped from a zoo or something. Seriously!

Loads of ’em on Dunstable and Whipsnade Downs that escaped from the zoo (or there were when I was a nipper growing up there).

My brother-in-law killed a deer this week by hitting it with his road bike at 25mph. Thankfully, he came off better than the deer.

they have a contact address but when you contact them nothing. Would have thought in these economic times any custom was good custom

Giant UK: Biggest bike manufacturer in the world and they can’t be arsed to check their emails.

[edit] There’s an ‘h’ in whoosh BTW.

I think you’ll find there are two H’s in Whoosh.

Everything Silverfish imports/sells is horribly overpriced, so I never have to worry about it.

Too many mussels can be a bugger when you’re dragged across a reef covered in them.

GPs are just going to give all of that money to the cheapest bidder for services. Say hello to Tesco Healthcare PLC.

I have got one word for you….SUP

About as comparable to a sea kayak as a unicycle to a MTB. They’re fine as a fun thing to do but aren’t terribly practical. They’re also a proper pain in the arse when they’re used in surf by people who don’t know what they’re doing. Each to their own, mind.

The sea kayaking around my way (North Devon) is fantastic. My mate runs a local guiding/training business: CLICK[/url]

Are you the fella I spoke to before who works offshore for months on end?

Email me on rdscoleman-taylorAThotmailDOTcom and I’ll send you the phone number of my mate in Ilfracombe. He’s off work ’til Wednesday so will probably be up for a ride on Monday.

I’m supposed to have had a baby today (although he’s not arrived yet) so will be limited on riding time over the next few months. There are a few of us that try and get some local riding in around Braunton on an evening.

There is a point to printed magazines as you can take them to the beach or read them in bed/on the loo. Surfers Path shows how a sports magazine should be put together.

All bike magazines are dull by comparison. I find WMB just wants me to spend money by convincing me that I must have this or that.

Well done if its what you want to do. Personally I dont see the problem with smoking and I’m yet to be convinced of the negative impact it has on your health.

Look at the true greats: Clarke Gable, Clint Eastwood, James Bond, Kate Moss – They all smoke and it doesnt do them any harm. My auntie smoked 20 a day and she lived till she was 87!

Perhaps you’d like to discuss this with my father who was diagnosed with tracheal cancer at 47. James Bond isn’t real, by the way.

I like the fact that all the essentials are in one place. Just pick it up and go, without worrying about whether I’ve forgotten something. I then just add extras (food, jacket, etc.) as required.

I used to live in Scarborough and once saw Sir Jimmy out jogging whilst I was doing the walk of shame one Thursday morning. Quite odd.

Of course it’s not a waste of time. You’re clearly ill.

As for pharmacotherapy, that would depend on diagnosis.

Loads of Gore Bike Wear and every one of my wetsuits is an O’neill. This is because both of these brands cater well for the taller gent.

I’ve stopped reading bike magazines as I’m sick of being told I need this, and that’ll make me better. My bike does the job and the only thing that’ll make me better is hard work, regular riding and good eating.

If you’re after a specific breed, there are quite a few dedicated welfare groups for dogs. e.g. Dalmatian Welfare

I get why people like cars, but they offer no real interest to me. Due to someone crashing into my wife’s Polo, I’m presently driving a 60-plate Megane. I don’t find it any more enjoyable to drive than my 15 year old van. All the gadgets and lights are just distracting too.

Maybe I need to spend 70grand to find something I’d appreciate?

I watched this being discussed on Newsnight last night. The Conservative politician didn’t seem to really have a clue about what was going on and struggled to answer the audience members’ questions, other than stumbling around the idea of community ownership.

Cars are money pits. So are bikes. You don’t need to spend your money at all.

If it was me, I wouldn’t do it. You’ve already highlighted the reason:

i mite come up with some new ideas to make it more exciting.

Which I read as ‘I’ll blow all my spare cash on this frame and then get myself in trouble trying to buy all the parts that it deserves’.

It is a lovely frame, but it won’t ride much better than a £300 alloy hardtail. If you NEED a new frame, get one, but don’t blow your cash on something pretty. Things can get tricky when you’re a student and having that money stashed could come in really useful (think still being able to afford to go to uni).

I had a proper rat-bike when I was a student, but still enjoyed every minute of riding it, and that’s what counts.

I bought a van a while ago and this album was in the tape deck. Definite bonus.

I emailed my MP (Nick Harvey, Lib Dem) and got a nonsense reply from one of his staff, highlighting all the good things he does for us. At no point did her reply mention woodland sales.
