    Looe for me next week

There are some trails in the woods at nearby Seaton. You’ll need to do some searching though.

Muddy is right. There are a couple of us over here that like to ride at a sedate pace.Give us a shout if you fancy some company one evening.

They were pretty strict about people having to have a race number to ride last year.

    Whereabouts do you live, Shoddybugger?

I live in Braunton. North Devon isn’t blessed with fabulous riding but has some okay stuff. Give me a shout about when you’re down.

I would be wasting my money…

Yup. Efficacy of glucosamine in joint health has now largely been disproved. Diagnosis would be much better.

I was swayed towards ivory, but green and a free headset sorts it for me. Just need to sell my xl trance frame (see classifieds).

As for team kit, gonna find a red & black 29er to match when I get my bonus in the new year.

My daugher took her new BMX out today

I’d focus on that bit. 😀

This would be my preferred method.

I’d go for Gwithian as that never seems that crowded

    Oh, my aching sides!

If you want (relatively) quiet beaches in Cornwall, SE is best. Whitsand Bay is beautiful. Can be tricky to access though as you need to hike down some cliff paths. Also close to Dartmoor.

Giro XXL are the only gloves I’ve found that fit my enormous shovels. The Giro Monaco gloves I’m using at the minute are superb.

Asparagus with thin crunchy bacon, baby leaves sprinkled with extra virgin olive oil and vintage balsamic vinegar … and of course a glass of champagne to go with it

Insert Homer Simpson drooling noise here.

Bell Volt, ‘cos they fit me like they were made for me. Bloody expensive though.

Morewood Kwela 29 would be my choice.

I have wondered whether something like Diprobase might do a similar job. It’s not as thick as the chamois creams I’ve used in the past though.

I haven’t ridden my mtb in ages (new baby) so am itching for an Exmoor all-dayer. I’m on board.

I’d suggest sorting the passport and giving it to your ex as a token of goodwill. Perhaps this could open the door to her being more receptive to your needs? it seems to me that ‘bargaining tools’ in situations like this would most likely lead to more animosity between parties.

    Then again, maybe I’m wrong.

All the posters here who have nice sexy racy Wiliers with Shim on feel dirty – and deep down they know it

    This is true.

thing is, the italian carbon bikes are made in factories in china/taiwan

So is this. Still, I have a Kona, so I don’t know nuffink.

I have found the clear sprays excellent. Started a few years ago with Factor 10 and can now get up to 30

They do a factor 50 now. Brilliant for me for surfing as it seems really water resistant too.

The Big Blue (or Subway, or Nikita, or Leon – basically any of Luc Besson’s earlier films).

Just reminded me how brilliant The Big Blue is. Compulsory student viewing for me in the nineties.

Living in North Devon, I can assure you that the answer is ‘no’.

I did see Ton was selling his 29er full-suss at a bargain price. Over in the classifieds yesterday.
