I had to stay on site, but heard that someone was sick at the top of the first climb. Superb.

Dogs are now allowed at Heaven – to be fair it’s due to singlespeedstu – he called the council and found that there is no bye-law banning dogs – contrary to the sign that’s been there 30 years.

    Sorry for any hassle caused.
Hope to see you at the weekend.

But it might be a bit late to organise other arrangements for looking after the dog.

Looks like i’ll be emailing for a refund then. Sorry that it looks like it’ll be a great event we’ll be missing out on.

    Email sent. Sorry.

    Yep, appreciate that sofaking.
The information has been up on the website, and the info email is due to go out on Monday.

Well this is a sticky one. If the only reason you were coming was because you could bring your dog, then I suppose so.

I would have thought most people were coming to ride, and bringing their dog was secondary.

To be honest the change of site is a PITA for a lot of people – fortunately it’s worked out for the best (better showers, access etc).
The only downside is that it’s dog free. Sorry.

Two of my three kids get car sick with these. That’s a whole new world of entertainment on the motorway.

“As he did not satisfy us, we have decided to release him,” said Toulon president and owner Mourad Boudjellal.

    Sacked!!!

It refers to Paul Sackey, not Tango Gav.

Looks good but the site is awful. No idea what the tickets are for, whats half a ticket? child if so how old does a child have to be not to need a ticket?

Granted it was a little confusing, I apologise. Sorted now.

Tang if you want to do the trails I’ll show you around for free. No need to fork out £30.

    It’s for charity. Ho hum.

Or do simialr trails on the Evans ride

Completely different event. But you’ll get a free gel with Evans. Enjoy.

I had an 07 T5 Shuttle and it was one of those rare ‘win win’ vehicles.
In the eyes of the tax man it was a van (ie flat rate tax if a company vehicle) but in everyone else’s eyes it was a car (Severn bridge tolls, recycling centre).

Best vehicle I’ve owned, gutted to see it go. Can be pricey if they do go wrong though…..

    Load of bolloxs psychobabble.

I read it 12 years ago and thought it just made sense. Haven’t touched one since.

Bit of a shame that he died of lung cancer though. Irony is a w@nker.

    Crikey, that’s bloody good going.

Just a better route is wanted really. Was there reasons for not taking some bridlepaths and routes? too fast/narrow/technical?

If you want this, and scrumpy, come to Heaven.

So where does it say it is an offroad reliability trial? I see two pictures showing tarmac and two showing farm tracks. I would say that is fairly accurate as a reflection of what to expect.

    Google HONC.
    Read the site description.

Really enjoyed it and isnt the format based on Paris/Roubaix ‘ROAD’ Race ? Hence the title HONC

I agree, but it’s billed as an OFF-road reliability trial, so I’d expect a bit more off-road. Judging by the number of mountain bikes (80%?) I probably wasn’t alone.

100k and that bloody climb nearly killed me. Although you could tell who had dabbed at the top by the muddy shoes….

Seems like there was a lot more tarmac than last year, but I have consumed quite a lot of beer in the last year and details are hazy.

I used an Ashima on my Alfine. Works fine, but the spelling on the packet is awful.

‘Sheer breaking performance’ – not a good strap line for the product they’re selling.

    Ah, the power of STW.
Thanks to the forum Heaven will now feature Roller Racing courtesy of South Coast Sprints. We’re putting them next to the scrumpy tent to settle their nerves.

I’ve got a mate with a gite in Brittany that sleeps 8 easily, it’s 2km fron 12 x organised trails, 10km from Plouay (massive cycling town, velodrome, museums etc), about 40 miunute drive from the beach.

    website here

    French Brittany VTT (MTB) website.
I’ll dig a map of the area out.

He asks about £475 per week (£60 per person based on 8), and the ferry is about the same again high season.

Cracking place – stayed there for two weeks last year.

I’ve been looking at this too.
I was in contact with Rollapaluza earlier this week and when you see what they provide their price isn’t bad. However, for our charity event it was just too much.

So I started looking at my own system – will be installing the the Opensprints software tomorrow to see what it looks like.

If you could find a way to helmet mount the Newts and they’ve got a tight beam then they would compliment the Fireball on the bars. I’m sure Smuge could sort out a charger.

Putting the Newt next to the Fireball = p1ssing in the wind.

Try another browser is my only suggestion at the mo. Sorry.

can you remind me at the end of the month?

Here’s your end of month reminder. We’ve now got Cotswold Outdoor sponsoring the whole shebang, along with quite a few bike shops.

    Bands confirmed, organisers infirm.
    Heaven.
