raises your internal temp causing sweating and vasodilation, more blood flow to superficial capilleries so having a cooling effect? just a guess

I just built up a road bike with this frameset and a mix of tiagra & 105 level stuff, cost me about £350 all built up, really good value frameset

crc is the cheapest i can find, usually use rock oil as its a different colour oil for different weights. £6 for 500ml

Be better for a heavier rider i reckon. I prefer my rev’s with slightly heavier oil.

I’d stick some 10wt suspension oil in the damper, easy enough DIY, lots of good video’s/step by steps online.

I’ve got a set of Park Tool Beam style ones, one for 0-7nm and another for the rest.

Cost me about £30 a piece, great quality.

Yea but it wont be economical when you realise the hubs are **** and buy a set of hopes.

I love their pads and pedals but for hubs, don’t bother.

With a shimano bb facing isnt as critical as they use plastic ‘top hats’ on the bearings so any slight alignment issue will be taken up, if i were using a hope bb i’d probably get it done though.

In short, you dont need your bb shell faced, you’ll need a crank extractor to take off your old cranks and a sq taper/splined bb tool to get the bb out, you just need a hollowtech 2 bb tool to put the cups in and a tool to tighten the bearing pre-load cap. X-tools do decent stuff, if you’re feeling flush then go for Park Tool.

I had a pair of the switch, bearings lasted about 2 months(at most), rear squeeked like a bugger after a month or so when pedalling, get some 2nd hand hope xc’s or pro 2’s if you need different axle options, buy cheap buy twice.

No Muc-off etc used either, stipped and cleaned/regreased the rear about 3 times during use too…

Sram stuff just feels a bit cheap, love the look of the new xo but with xtr cheaper there’s no contest, xtr stuff feels and looks top dollar, even after years and years.

Currently running a 5+ year old xtr short cage rear mech, shifts perfectly, no play in the pivots (at all) and keeps the chain nice and tight.

What you want is a Dialled PA in 853, 99 of them about i think, excellent frames, Any chance of another run of them but lighter than the standard instead of stronger?

drilling out your cable stops is not a faff, a 2 minute job! Saves much more than 2 minutes in the long run.

Just get your drill out and use full length standard shimano outer with shimano inner, perfect shifting indefinitely.
