just had a look in the cupboard and found a thermos 0.35l, as simon said its too thin for the bottle cage so itll have to go in the camelbak.

    Hope it works well.

found this, reckon it'd fit in a normal bottle holder?

apparentley there is very little different in the xt's to xtr's ,i personally would choose the xt's over the xtr's because of the power adjust and post mount.

Hope's are very nice, the new lever it great with the power and reach adjust easily hand operated. But expect the 'hope brakes are ****' from a few people on here.

id go with the hopes .

If you dont mind them not being bling hayes 9 are very reliable, good feel/power, extremely easy to bleed and pad changing is a breeze. they do a carbon lever version as well if you want a little bling

i dont see how 30mm of extra travel would be much of a risk though? the 100mm forks of those days looked more like a 130mm length anyway.
If the ripping of the swing arm off is a problem with the sub 5 aswell it must be an isolated problem ,i know someone whos had nine years with no worry out of a sub5 and still works fine. Could it not be people running their shock too soft so the bottom out regularly putting strain on the pivot?

oh and by the way, although you'd probably want to check this with someone who's not trying to sell you a laptop, 3gb is way more than the average user needs, even when gaming or graphics processing (unless were talking cgi video editing sorta thing)

    that what you're looking for?

the spec would make it run better than the average laptop on things like photoshop because of its dedicated graphics card.

if your interested i can send you pics etc.

depends how tall you are perhaps? I am 5ft 4 and I use a 14" msisle (with pikes) for all my riding. It is quite a heavy xc bike but I haven't had anything else to compare it with. It's a tatty bike but very pretty if that helps

thanks, is that the steel or aluminium one?

The 16 inch is alright for XC, 14 inch is a bit too small. Theyre not heavy really, my 14 inch frame weighs 5.5 pounds or so.

is that the steel or aluminium version, thanks.

the best to go with is get a crank brothers 10 multi tool and get a separate chain tool, they are so much easier to use. that'd be under £25. But the larger crank brothers versions are decent enough

in my experience normal led lights are pants, an ultrafire c3 is miles brighter for about £7. Cree led's are the best.

Ton…. I think his new lights cost more than his Kona..thats why he didnt spend £100's on lights be worth more than the bike.

Id like to say your wrong ,its a kona shred frame (i know its a dj frame but it was cheap and is nice and beefy). With lx, hayes, merlin handmade shimano/mavic wheels (£65 for the set ) and some dieing fox's up front
