Steel framed rigid 26” wheel hard tail with 1.8 fire xc tyres and 140mm stem, 580mm bars with stubbie bar ends should see you back in the land of niche

Never stopped riding my Kona Unit set up just like that !

My secondhand out of warranty Calibre Dune was replaced within a couple of weeks after submitting a picture of the crack. Would change been quicker but they were waiting on a shipment of frames.
They didn’t ask for the original frame back, all sorted over a couple of emails.

    Big thumbs up to Calibre.

Not how I ride mine but that did look a laugh

    Same here.
Can’t wait to ride mine tomorrow night but reckon I’ll be more wheels on the ground.

Never touched my Fox forks but need to.

Was happy doing my old Marzocchi forks but they rarely needed servicing as they were Bomb(er) proof !

Sussex coast, 95% from home. Out of the drive, pull a super-sweet wheelie 100m to the end of the road, cross the A27 and I’m shredding the gnar! (By shredding the gnar I mean bridleway slogging 45 minutes to the decent trails but still, mustn’t grumble).

    ^^^^^^^^^^^The same for me.

    As above, sounds like balancing.

Try partially closing the outlet valve on the radiator to create some back pressure in the radiator so the hot water stays in the radiator longer allowing it to warm up properly.

Just double checked my order for some Five Tens made after seeing the PSA – marked as shipped yesterday. Fingers crossed all ok.

I had that recently only to be then told it was out of stock.

Remember the days when you broke something cycling on Sunday, ordered a replacement on Monday and received it on Tuesday ?

I remember the first time I went riding in Thetford, didn’t realise they had Muntjak deer.
I was bimbling along in a semi-vegetative state when it jumped out in front of me and woke me up !

WD40 or petrol works as a great solvent if you have a spare can hanging around.
Just don’t set fire to it……tends to make a mess of the paintwork !

Not got one of the latest breed but I’m also interested.
As above the magazine reviews have been really good.

    Frame without lower attachment

Ideal for making a balance bike.

Do you think that’s where the D locks were located ?

As a different prospective, I run a distributor company, slightly different in that we have direct competitors selling some of the same products.
Customer service is absolutely key, if a promise is made it should’ve delivered on.
All my goods are properly located by location code but I’m guessing Silverfish haven’t had the time to do this.
That means returning phone calls within agreed timescales, goods packed and despatched on-time.
If in any doubt at all, call his customer and discuss a solution.
I’m sure a Saturday am delivery could have been made, most couriers offer this service, just costs a little extra.

This is he service my company gives our customers, I expect the same back.

I think that private cover has its benefits when you know you will have through a number of hurdles in the NHS.
I ruptured a disc a number of years ago. Within 10 days I had seen the consultant, had an MRI scan, reviewed with the consultant, operated on, and back home fixed.
6 months later I received a letter from the NHS for physio as the first step of treatment.
The main difference is the speed of getting into the system to the point where something meaningful can be done as jimbobo says.
I get the cover as a benefit from work.

I bought a cheap Phaart rear light from On One for £2, lasted me over a year so far. Just bought another one as a spare.
It comes with the post mount that I have on my road bike then I clip on my Osprey bag when out on the MTB.

Sounds daft but when I feel like that I ask myself – “what would Martyn Ashton do” and get on it.

This hits it on the head for me. I’ve endured a number of operations over the past decade that have left residue issues both physically and mentally but you need to appreciate what you can still do.
Yes you might be slightly slower than you were, ache more the next day but nothing beats the fresh air feeling blasting along a track and realising what beautiful countryside we have around us.

Treating yourself to a new piece of kit always seems to help….

Have loved riding mine over the last few months.
Always puts a smile on my face when I ride it and even more so when I get to the top or the bottom of a hill before my mates.

Fitting a new Minion FBF 4.8″ to the front tomorrow, can’t wait to test it out.

    Even more smiles per miles…..

Tried riding my short travel XC bike for a couple rides, felt so boring !

A quick Google has answered my question. We don’t build using that method in Worthing hehe !

Personally I would mount wooden battening along the wall first with expanding bolts then screw hooks or whatever into the wood.
Makes moving or adding hooks a lot easier.

    Btw Sussex bungeroush ?

You could removed the tray and apply a bead of silicon sealant before reassembling.
If needed you could break the seal in the future with a Stanley knife.

They didn’t refuse to do that. They told you to contact head office (still the retailer)

I read it that they told him to phone the manufacturer, they only said contact head office later when the OP went back and challenged it.

Having just read the whole of that linked thread I couldn’t agree more

Read some of the thinking behind his bike… He (let’s face it, it will be a he) is rather special. Need to entice him here for the entertainment

Could make for some interesting threads

Btw none of my bikes are particularly light but I wanted to join the conversation !

Nice, can’t see the logo, which frame is it ?

Certainly not acceptable in my mind.
Had a similar issue once, I think they had fitted the tyres dry and they leaked slightly.
A refit should sort them unless there is another issue. Unlikely to a valve issue if all wheel are effected.

As above, put it through insurance. In my experience no fault claims won’t make any difference to your premium.
I certainly wouldn’t trust the garaged owners mate to do it

Are there other sizes of wheels available other than 26″ ?

    I’m shocked hehe

Big pile of 26″ tyres here as they are the only size I own.
I’m sure I can’t be the only one.

Ironically when scrolling through this thread, 2 out of 3 ads are for betting companies.

I just got adverts for beds and sofas, shows where my interests lie.

I think it depends on how much you left to pay, whether you already receive life cover at work etc.

Btw I’m a similar age and I do have it.

    Splash-man

Depends on your financial situation really.
Are you looking for the cover to pay off mortgage or just receive a lump sum ?
