I know I’m daft, don’t need the dogs help there 🙂
Just wanted confirmation of what I was thinking and theres plenty of people telling you to never feed before exercise. Just making sure that’s all.

I’ve a LWB 08 Scudo(Dispatch and Expert are the same), carries 5 people and bikes (front wheel off but still). Slept in it with 3 of us on a Ikea sofa bed which fits in perfectly. Can be a bit flakey but its been pretty good so far.

    Ah bugger 🙁
Although tags are cheap enough, I might buy one anyway and try it out

I’ve done it, we mostly do repairs and keep very little stock, sell some used bikes on a commission basis (like a local ebay )and do the odd custom build now and then. The majority of repair work tends to be budget restricted commuters with the odd high end bike coming in here and there. We fit stuff bought online and we will price match if we can ( we usually can in fairness but most people assume online is cheaper so we don’t stress over it).
We ride and surf as often as we can so it’s doesn’t have to be the nose to the grindstone fun sink some people think it is. It’s not easy either but it has its own rewards (and money really isn’t one of them ).

If a 2.4 will go in the back the a fat front is on the cards for me

Frame only as I have most of the bits, including an alfine. Stooge say a lighter thinner rear is the way to go, so I might try that first

Yeah my 29er is an older dual dropout one (slots with a gear hanger) and its a close fit with a 2.2 in there.
I’m thinking I may just sell the frame and carbon fork and put it towards a Krampus.

I’d give volume spacers a go personally http://www.mojostore.co.uk/volume-tuning-kits-c102x2817089
they not too expensive and are really easy to fit
have a look at this http://www.mojo.co.uk/air-spacers

it worked wonders on my mates bike when he had a similar problem to you.

I’ve got the Tenn ones and they are quite good but do feel a little flimsy (although they’ve lasted me since last winter)
I’m gonna give THESE[/url] a go next but not sure that the qualify as that cheap

Not used them but did spot a 650b+ version there as well, all bases covered, quite a lot cheaper than WTB etc

chainline will be off slightly but i suspect it will be ok, possible extra rubbing at one end of the cassette, looking at what you’ve ordered though you have ordered the correct one.

    spev

it will be fine, they also do a chainset with a 53.4mm chainline for148mm rear ends but you’ve ordered the standard one so it will work fine with 135mm and 142mm rear ends.

The faq on the evans site contradicts itself as well, saying they are direct mount and then stateing the BCD, they will work fine as the have a BCD (albeit offset) details from Shimano http://bike.shimano.com/content/sac-bike/en/home/components11/mountain/deore-xt-m8000/fc-m8000-1.html

and heres a pic of a M8000 chainring showing bolt holes (Evans appear to not know what they are selling)

I’ve been using Onza Ibex in the FRC120 casing, admittedly in a 2.4 but the do a 2.25. Easy to set up tubeless, very grippy and quite fast rolling all things considered

Good evergreen coverage can include plants like bugle (ajuga reptans), pachysandra, vinca minor, european ginger (asarum europaeum), euonymus fortunei “coloratus”, and a good deciduous ground cover is sweet woodruff. Ferns will look good there too.

Make sure you’ve got rid of all the brambles before you start planting up, It might be worth leaving the ground for a bit, to see what pops back up.

Your local hope dealer can order rims for you. I just rebuilt a wheelset using the enduro version. Where are you based?

I’ve had Vapours on my 29er and found them to be strong and reasonably lightweight. What about Hope Tech XC rims? Eyeleted and lightweight (think they 395gms for 27.5)

I’ve used X-fusion on both my NukeProof Mega and my On One 29er, the Mega has a Vector HLR Air shock and a pair of Vengeance 170mm HLR Air Forks, both are superb and far better value than the previous units(Fox Float RP3 and Float 36 160mm), the 29er had 120mm Slide’s.
Personally I cant fault them, and after my experiences with them a few of my riding mates have swapped over to them. I certainly don’t view them as poorer alternatives to the more mainstream choices, just better value for the same perfomance (if not better)

Apart from the inbred, nothing much, geometry is different though. Ragley seem to be unable to get theirs out at all (now expected Autumn 2015)

We had a collie from a rescue and expected her to be a little trying as people told us all kinds of stories about them being neurotic and wilful. As it turns out she’s unlike most collies except for a little nervous with noises. I’d imagine your lurcher (cos you’ve already decided really haven’t you?) will be unlike any other (cos thats just how dogs are). What rescue centre is it at and have you got any pics?

26″, decent forks, comes in a 14″ and 16″, standover is pretty good. I’d imagine someone on here lives near enough for you to try one for size.

My concern revolves around the fact that my mates bike was taken during a targeted day of bike thefts in one area of my hometown culminating in 25 high quality bikes being stolen. I also identified 2 bikes stolen from the thetford area being sold by him. He may be selling them on for these scumbags. If someone can assure me that my details can’t be found by tracing IP addresses etc then I’ll give out a bit more info.

They believed us enough to return my mates bike to him minus the parts the seller had removed and sold ( raceface crank and hope brakes both sold the week before, bars stem dropper post swapped out and fitted to another bike he was selling). As the seller has a history of buying bikes on gumtree and classifieds I thought maybe he accidentally bought my mates bike, but the part swapping gives the impression he is trying to disguise his activities.

I have to say I’m a little worried about repercussions though.

the on-one website says the standover on the large is 830mm, that seems huge compared to my 18″ inbred (800mm) can anybody confirm with a real measurement from the floor to the middle of the top tube? either a large or a medium would be good.

I had mine done at triple s , superb job. Email them and they will send you a colour chart/photo (or email me spev11 at gmail.com and i’ll pass the chart on to you)

    https://www.seasucker.com/shop/20mm-thru-axle-fork-mount/
they do 20mm and 15mm , i then fitted 2 of THESE into my ply floor, i’ve transported 5 bikes in my scudo van with those without problems (I usually strap the wheels to the back wheel of each bike)

the seasucker mount is available from fisheroutdoor.co.uk so your local bike shop should be able to get them for £19.99 rrp (they are in stock as well 🙂 )

The frame, forks, wheels, mech, shifter and rear shock ( changed from standard) have turned up on eBay as a complete bike but with some parts changed. Its a different seller but in the same area, waiting for the local seargant to get back to my mate.

Oh and bearing in mind that we have had over 25 high end bikes stolen in the last 2 months from this area you do think that maybe they would be more interested.

The cranks are 100% the ones that were on the recently stolen Nukeproof (as were the Hope Brakes sold 8 days ago). I’ve been told that the local Intel unit will only deal with us via another officer which just seems to include another clueless individual into the mix (not their fault really). I’m gonna badger em again in the morning and then badger West Sussex Police as well.
