    have you looked at this
    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=24915
    or here
    http://www.onyourbike.co.uk/index.php?cPath=90_122&&page=4

although I cant see why the Halfords one wouldn't be suitable if it has all the relevant safety checks

whoever said All Saints, I hope you were joking

Ramones My Back Pages (Bob Dylan)
Ramones Do You Wanna Dance (Bobby Freeman)
    Jose Gonzalez Heartbeats (The Knife)

There's loads of others but I like covers that are quite a different take on the original

White bars, for some it's a fashion thing, I bought em because priceshagger had them for 15quid delivered, I did get a matching stem afterwards though (bay for 19 quid).
Really for 15 quid I wouldn't care if they were pink.

Oooo a blue mmmbop thread, must join in 🙂

They are indeed fantastic, both to ride and for value, although mine has encouraged me to push a bit harder and in the process has killed a front wheel, a rear mech and some ribs.
Off out again tomorrow to see what falls off me this time

have a look and see if you can find a Corratec Dolomiti RT 105 2009,should be easily under a grand and maybe even less than 900, leaving some cash for nice shoes and pedals. The Corratec range in general is pretty good and very light for the money

Have a look at the Claud Butler Courier, can be had for about 280ish, they do a flat bar and a drop bar version, flip flop hubs, all the stickers peel off if it bothers you, they only come in a 56cm but I'm 5'10" and it fits me fine.oh and the frame is cromo not hi-ten like the create bikes

    look here

Didn't realise this was still going.
I've had both a 456 and now a mmmBop (same geo as the blue pig),I'd honestly say there isn't much difference riding either downhill (the mmmBop is a tad more confidence inspiring on very steep stuff) but its everywhere else that I find the mmBop better. I suspect this is as a result of the seat angle change.
Anybody want to test ride one in Swansea is welcome to contact me to try mine anway.

As for the furor regarding Brants reply, to BillyBob-are you implying that he isn't allowed to relax and chill reading a forum?

I think pritcsa has hit the nail on the head, If Brant were to make direct comparisons it would'nt really be fair to On-One who I'm sure he owes some of his success to, and I like to think he is still friendly with them at least

If the only difference you can spot between the two frames is the head angle then your just not looking. Seat angle has (after riding both ) made an amazing difference and one I didn't expect, also the tyre and chainring clearance generated by the chainstay design, the superb movable cable guides, the chainstay mounted disc mount to name a few. All these little changes make a big difference to the look and the ride of the frame.

With regards to Brant's reply, anyone who has posted here on a regular basis will surely be familiar with his style (I like his refreshing honesty). I suspect at 9pm he's thinking a little more about his family and relaxing than spending all night on a forum pointing out all the changes and evolutions of his designs that can be easily seen with a little reading and research.
I'm a little tired of the constant "what……" that seems to populate all forums. I always thoroughly check all the details of any purchase or decision I'm going to make rather than wander onto a forum and hope that someone will make the decision for me (thus giving you someone to blame if you dont like it)

from pictures of me in the 80's and 90's I appear to be wearing some peculiar gear, and I confess to wearing lycra back then on more than one occasion (sorry to anybody who may have seen a stick insect in multi coloured lycra)

i'm not worried about what people think I'm dressed like, went past caring a good few years ago, Mrs Spev seems to think I look ok and thats all that matters to me 🙂

headset is an Element reducer from CRC 63 quid but has 2 lower cups for head angle adjustment.

as for the looks and age, well I'm flattered thank you all 🙂 I don't smoke, stopped drinking about 15 years ago (apart from the about 3-4 pints of stout a year)and plenty of cycling, surfing and just being outdoors seems to have helped.
I figure one day i'll wake up and look about 90 🙂

aarrrrggghhhh , 40 years old and I still get Harry Potter comparisons 🙁

I was riding with the Welsh Masters DH Champion and he said "you were really going for it right up to the point where the tyre dug in and the wheel folded, good though" which cheered me up 🙂

as pictured mines about 29lb, but then I haven't made any special effort to make it lighter 🙂

I'll ask my mate but he's seen the price of that replacement lamp and if it fits that's what he wants to pay, personally I'd say your complete unit is worth quite a bit more so cant imagine you'd get what you want

nothing, spent wednesday in hopsital with severe kidney pain, turns out its a stone (a big one according to the urologist) so i'm on some funny tablets which make me sick and dizzy. I've been banned from riding for a couple of days as well 🙁

    re the clarks skeletal
we've got them in the shop and have fitted them to a few bikes, they are well made, easy to fit, easy to bleed as well and seem powerful enough (on the ride around the block road test) if I didnt have hopes then i'd have a set (may still throw some on the tandem)

Clarks skeletal, about 69 per end, with spare pads and they are white 🙂

mmmm, I keep switching to FS getting bored and heading back to HT then lusting after FS. Finances dictate that its on or the other not both (already have a DJ bike, tandem and commuter)
