as far as I can tell you could use it as long as your laptop has tv-in . I think its for use with a small tv screen or similar. You can use it when its in the case either as the outputs are on the side (you could buy the skeleton case)

Had a quick look at the manual for my HD960 and a live view is available but its only to a TV

“SETTING VIDEO LIVE FEED ON / OFF
You can set your camera to send a live video signal out the side TV or HDTV ports by toggling the VIDEO
LIVE FEED setting on and off. Video Live Feed via the USB port is not supported. When Video Live Feed
is set to OFF (LFF) the camera will switch into video / photo playback mode when one of the included TV
cables are plugged into the camera. If Video Live Feed is turned on (LFO), the camera will stay in normal
camera mode when plugged into a TV and will send a live video signal to the TV. Plugging in the
component cable will send an HD video signal out from the camera, and plugging in the composite cable
will send a standard definition signal out from the camera. Video Live Feed On allows for plugging the
camera into wireless transmitters and TVs for live viewing from the camera. NOTE: If the component
cable is used to send live HD video out from the camera, and you begin simultaneously recording HD
video to the SD card, the live video feed will be reduced to standard definition as the camera cannot
record and transmit HD video at the same time. If you wish to have an HD live video feed from the camera
you cannot begin recording HD video to the SD card. If the composite cable is used to send standard
definition video out from the camera, then the camera can simultaneously record HD video to the SD card.”

According to the go pro site the LCD screen is now available but only fits the 1080HD model

I’ve also got one of the Veho type cameras and they are ok but after trying the go pro I can’t say i’ll ever use it again

The fork I have is 440mm axle to crown, the On-One 29er fork is 470mm so (I think) the 29″ wheel in the 440mm fork shouldn’t end up like a chopper.
I may (and usually am)be wrong but i’ll try it and see when the frame arrives 🙂

I sold mine a couple of years ago, not really sorry that its gone. I managed to build another hardtail and have change left over. I sometimes miss the simplicity, but I like fettling so its all good.

cheers for all the advice. For all that I dislike him and the way he deals with his customers and his employees i’ve got no problem working the 4 weeks notice.
Either way I’ve handed it in and he accepted that i’ll be working until the 30th november, whether he changes his mind by monday is another matter.

He seemingly offered a contract to the part timers before I started but one was never offered to me. I was not that worried as he was sort of a friend before I worked there. 5 Months after I started my mum passed away and that sort of threw my mind and was just glad of the distraction of work to worry about a contract

pay date is today 🙂 wages are in, no payslip yet (as usual- it take a couple of emails to get one)

i think i’ll take the plunge and do it on monday, keep an eye the classified for all my kit if i goes pear shaped 🙂

Decking him is an option but one I am currently holding back on. My understanding was that even though there isn’t a contract there is an implied acceptance of giving notice regardless ( i can’t find any concrete evidence for this).What I do’nt want to happen is me resign and him tell me to bugger off immediately leaving me without a months wages before starting my next job, i’m quite happy to work my notice as he’ll need help transferring my duties to some other nutcase prepared to work for him

brassneck, I had the same problem as you, my local Boots are doing a free consultation,you’ll need a current prescription, the guy was very helpful and showed my various techniques for putting em in and taking em out. They also gave me 8 pairs free to start me off. Go and make an appointment, you’ve got nothing to lose.

M6TTF , I have no idea what makes you think its ok to drop litter, whether it be an organised event or otherwise. By your odd logic as the trail at Afan are built for purpose (sort of organised) then litter dropping is ok as its the trailbuilders (or the FC) problem? As its an organised event do you expect them to wipe your arse as well. Perhaps a team of people should follow you to cook you a meal when needed.

the El Gallo we had in the shop had a similar freehub to the Halo Spindoctor's, they had a cartridge bearing on the disc side with a fixed bearing on the freehub side, you couldn't change this one so had to change the freehub. Not a major problem as its easy enough but you'll prob need a 11mm allen key. Other than that they seemed ok. Of the two wheelsets I'd go for the Superstar/Spank combo as I find the El-Gallo graphics offensive 🙂

Or I'd look for a set of used Hope Pro2 or Bulbs
