Ascend 2 is external and looks just like the Lev DX.

I bought a Ascend 2 but unfortunately it was too long (weird frame and short leg combo) looked very well made though. Gutted to have to send it back to crc

    Yup,

Agree with the above. Perfect set-up for bikers

I’m the same with the bungees in the back if it’s one or two bikes

We are taking 4 bikes to the alps in my t5 shortly. Front wheels and pedals off with sheets in between the bikes. And then all our gear chucked on top

Would people recommend Aosta/Pila or La Thuile? We are staying in Tignes so fancied doing one on a day trip. Also going to spend a day or two at Les Arc

I’m here to contradict the CB Highline review above!

Had mine about 8 months now and it has been faultless. I haven’t been bothered about the return speed and I came off a reverb.

I got mine for about £180 from one offer German mail order stores so I c0nsidered it to be good value

I use cornerstone. Really like the razor but it does get blocked easily. However, I received an email over the weekend to say that they have revised the whole razor and that the blades are now further apart. Looking forward to trying the new one

Giant Reign? Only problem with mine was the curved seat tube meaning a couldnt a decent length dropper. Handled everything though.

A lovely IPA from Australia that unfortunately costs an arm and a leg from the aussie store

Me and the other half drink the Hortus one from Lidl, it’s lovely!

My highline has been good so far, no problems and the lever is excellent. You can grab the bike by the saddle at any height as well.

I got mine fairly cheap from one of the big German companies

I used to have a women’s Lappiere Audacio road bike. It fitted me really well, I think it was just the saddle and the bar width that were different from the men’s version.

Maybe check the geometry between mens and womens?

Funnily enough I was put there the same time as Scott back in 2012!

Booked in La Lavachet for £310 for the 4 of us for 7 nights.

It will be riding in Tignes, Val D’Isere and Les Arc. Maybe others once I have looked into it further

Will check out the white room.

Anyone stayed at the La Lavachet area. It seems closer on the map but can’t remember whereabouts as it was 5 years since I was last there

    Pop top?

That’s what I’m doing to my swb kombi at some point. I want to have enough room ‘downstairs’ for all my biking gear, clothes and cooking stuff

Just got a Tamiya Dark Impact for Xmas. Looks way more complex than the grasshopper that I had as a kid but apparently it’s a really stable buggy to use

    I’ve suffered with depression previously.

My suggestion would be to take him out in rides, if he is feeling that down he won’t want to go out but almost making him might work. Once he is out he should enjoy himself.

The main thing that helped me is counselling, I felt I had no one to support me when my dad took his life and the whole jump up to being the man of the family was too much. After a couple of weeks counselling I came to realise that I was putting all the pressure on me and not everyone else. It totally calmed me down.

Counselling and doing at least one fun thing a day helped me massively

I would second what Reggie has said

The difference on 10 speed was noticeable but there isn’t much at all on 11 speed. I wish I never bothered.

If you are based in the south and want to get out for a ride at some point feel free to reply. Happy to head out whenever

    Yep, happened to me before.

All I can say is that you need to take the lead. Put up on forums that you want to organise a ride etc. I’ve always found that even going out for the occasional ride with others is the best way of making yourself feel better

If the weather is nice and you eat outside you can lock them to railings nearby. Me and a mate had a drink at the slug and lettuce and had our bikes right next to us

I have the compressor listed above. It has been pretty good at getting tyre set up tubeless. It is bloody loud though. The cats go running as soon as I switch it on!!

I don’t have these shorts but have a few pairs of their other models. They have all been great, they have lasted a couple of years and still look like new. I prefer them to my Fox and Troy Lee ones.

The Zenith is a good all round pair of shorts

This is going to be a nightmare!

I’m off on a 3 month travelling trip and i have 5 different hire companies in 3 different countries, it will probably cost me the same to keep calling the dvla than it did to hire the cars initially

I’ve got a Hans Dampf and Magic Mary in different compounds, both went up perfectly tubeless.

Schwalbe’s seem some of the easiest tyres to go tubeless

If you go for XT either go for the silver ones or get the vinyl stickers to cover the arms. They will look tatty within hours otherwise

I work for one of the bigger suppliers.

lots of deals available at the moment but make sure you compare using your annual usage. All suppliers have to put it on every bill now.

try some of the smaller suppliers as well, the only one I have heard negative things about is First Utility.

Oh, and avoid N Power, over 20x more complaints than any other supplier!

    I bought the same set

pre cut sp41 outers and ptfe black inners. Came in the same clear bag. All seemed okay to me.

crc have an excellent returns policy so you will easily get your money back

Nomad mk1, my own fault for buying without trying first but was too short and never felt right

09 Meta 6. Just didn’t feel right from the first ride, shame as I really wanted to like it and it looked awesome

    My current one.

Trek scratch, the only part from the original bike is the frame.

It fits me perfectly, can go a lot faster than I can and still climbs well despite 170mm travel!

    Cheers J4mie.

On the south coast. I work for one of the big energy companies so definitely put off storage heaters!

Bit of a rubbish story but my dad took his own life just before last Christmas and my mum just feels lonely and isn’t coping. There is only so much you can say to a cat. Her moving down the bottom of the garden is just as much for me as it is for her. Both me and my wife get on with her really well and I see it as my duty to do the right thing

    Building something new.

even though it is a terraced row the houses are all different, and we already have a two storey extension at the back. If we were to build out any further it would block off the light to the neighbours kitchen entirely.

This would be a separate building sitting about 10 to 15 meters away from ours
