Yes they are cartridge bearings no need for any lube although using it wouldn’t hurt. I generally grease up all mating faces when installing.

Whenever you feel like it, there’s nothing that’ll really help it.

Did mine at Stiniog last year. A night on the Rum to ease the pain then rode it again the next day.
TBH riding took my mind off it. Doing everyday stuff, pain took 2-3 weeks to go.

Am I the only one who really rates John Wesley Harding?

Nope. I love that Frankie Lee and Judas Priest track.

No one has mentioned “freewheeling” yet have a spin of that.

I’ll give a shout to keep pedalling in Manchester.
Had a set of Dually’s on Pro2’s . Rock solid. Been bounced down Antur Stiniog and all sorts on my rigid, rims a re dinged up a bit but the wheels are pefectly true and I haven’t needed to put a key to them once .

Just to add to my post: the used car pcp deals on the same model worked out at more than the new car.
Apparently” new cars are discounted further to increase new car sales numbers”.

Personally with modern cars anything approaching 5yr old isn’t worth the hassle.

Re: Car Wow. give it a go, nothing to loose.
Essentially yes you just get dealers nationwide offering their best price on your specified model.

Saved 4k off list on a 20+k Seat Leon.

In two minds what bike to take for the uplift, all looks pretty tame and that to make the most of it you want a bike that rolls fast and pumps well, ie a big fat enduro or DH bike would kill the fun there, correct?

    Yeah pretty much.
Had a good mix in our group. 2 DH bikes 2 hardtails, me on my Rigid.
In between 160/120 enduro/trail bikes NS Snabb, Alpine 160, Orbea Rallon, SC 5010 etc.
Quickest down was tha A160, guys on the DH’s basically ride them to make things easier rather than to go bigger.
Trails are quite tight and generally a bit awkward on big long DH type bikes.
Me on my Rigid and the lad on the Snabb were last off the hill for the day.
So overall IMO a trail bike is all you need.

I did about 5 each of the blue and red black was v muddy and not worth riding.

    Project 417 yesterday.
Lucky enough to get a nice bit of sunshine in the morning followed by a lovely rain storm to cool us off in the afternoon.

It’s a nice little place and although the tracks need work and we left feeling a little underwhelmed by how the tracks rode, it has plenty of potential.

We rode from the first uplift to the last so had plenty of fun there. Will definitely be going back.

She’s 5 months and on Canagan dry with scrambled eggs, tinned tomato, chicken and other bits and pieces chucked in occasionally.
Will move her onto raw mix when she gets closer to a year old.

Spectabilis – Lovely looking dog !

Thanks, they all are though aren’t they.

She does get a lot of attention but she’s so much more than a pretty face. Extremely intelligent and quick to learn.
Despite their reputation she’s training really well, people are amazed how well behaved she is for a pup, hope it continues….
5months old now and she’s perfect.

Made a start on a Treehouse / play house for my daughter after summer last year doing bits and bobs when I could.
It became useable just before Christmas time and still adding to it.

Whilst we’ve got some Stooge owners – can someone roughly measure the top tube(s) diameter? I’ve got plans for an oddball CX bike using the tubes for simple internal cable runs and a nice curved section for comfy shoulder carrying. I’m lightweight so considering 14mm (I’d guess Stooge is around 16mm).

Only using a tape and I’ve been on the Westons vintage but looks about 16/17mm

Will happily ride with either because if there is one fitted I don’t use it that much, I don’t get dropping the post right down as I like to stabilise the bike with my thigh against the saddle when I’m out of it.

My day to day bike (rigid 29) does my commute to work, Antur Stiniog and all in between and the post hasn’t moved since the original build setup.

Not really answering the original question is it.
    OP.
I’m sure you’ll find better answers/info on The Samba, VZI Hayburner blogs etc.

Best of luck with your new van/bus, enjoy it.

Go for it much preferable to the modern insipid T5 etc.
Call me boring, but i’ve never seen what is “cool” about spending 2/3rds of your holiday, broken down, in the rain, on the motorway hard shoulder waiting to be killed by a lorry driver who’s just nodded off.

If you ever have cause to use the M5 during one of the VW meets in Devon/Cornwall, its hard shoulder is literally littered with the things in various states of mechanical malady….

I think you may be exaggerating a touch.

I go to loads of shows, sure they’re are a few break downs now and again but then there are also old busses which will happily cruise over to Spa and back without issue.

You don’t like them, don’t get it that’s fine you’re more of a performance vehicle type of guy…. Each to their own. Enjoy getting there quicker.

    Go for it.

Many don’t get the simple pleasures idea and can’t go without all the creature comforts and as you have had experience you know what to expect.
If it doesn’t work out it’ll always sell on easy.

Take a chance you’ll only regret it if you don’t.

    Chunky Monkey’s worth a shout .

I’m running Goma TNT 2.4 at the min which comes even bigger. I’m fairly happy with it although it does tend to hang onto a fair bit of mud.

I’ve got a hardly used Frog Tadpole in spotty colour scheme I’d be happy to sell.
My daughter never really got the hang of it preferring to use a pedal bike with stabilisers.

Drop me an email if your interested.
It really is a lovely bike.
I did post a for sale on here a while back.

I’ve recently bought an Olympus OMD M5 MK2 after getting rid of my DSLR stuff.

The M5 is very much a mini DSLR, although with a prime lens fitted it is literally pocketable.

I bought it with the 12-40mm f2.8 pro lens which is fantastic, as sharp as a prime throughout the range. I could literally go without any other lens, I do have primes though which are faster but use them mainly due to size.

Camera has some great features too, like the awesome live composition mode.

My brother had Yemeni Chameleons a few years back, I don’t ever recall him saying they were any trouble. They were generally pretty chilled out although the male hissed at my GF a lot.
He had them in a large custom built enclosure I think he managed to breed them too.

Also Cichlids. Pics? What you got. I’ve had cichlids for years up until about 4 years back when I lost my F0 N.Hatiensis pair.

Stooge front end is high but I’m still running 60mm of spacers with a 12mm rise bar, These bars look the bo-locks and will let me bin some spacers.

If you’re considering them get them, you’ll be pleased with them I’m sure.
Although it’s doubtful you’ll notice any performance benefits over any run of the mill cranks, they are a real nice bit of kit.
They have a great install method making for a good solid feel.
I don’t own a set but have installed a few and a close friend runs a set on his Switchback, he’s a hefty chap but they’ve been rock solid.
I’d buy them, but then I’d buy nearly anything over Shimano.

PP’s R2R is a really nice bit if kit. You may have trouble finding a 50mm before the next batch mind.

Had this a number of times on a T and Z1c
As above the soft reset should sort it.
You may have to hold the buttons for a longer time than expected though.
And it will need charge in the battery, I’ve had them go from nearly full charge to empty in such instances, so may be worth leaving it on charge and trying it whilst connected.
