No, that grub screw has to be loosened to remove the lever pivot, look at the drawing it shows the groove in which the grub screw locates.

Sometimes they can be a little stiff so you may have to wiggle the lever up and down as you push it out.

Hope obviously if you can afford them, if not Shimano, they are shit with horrible levers and feel but they get the job done for little outlay short term.

The 8footer is just a basic 12mm float glass bought tank decorated with a foam background and bits n pieces from the local river.

The other was built by me and my dad, he has a steel fab. Business.

I’ve got a planted nano too, I’ll post pics later.

Loving mine , been riding exclusively fully rigid for a year or so previously so can’t really compare to previous bikes and haven’t givin it a run on the Trail centre/DH stuff yet but around the local stuff it rips !
Set up chubby 2.5/2.4 on 40mm rims and feels great.

Unfortunately I’m hearing the most noise from the outies.
Empty vessels ‘n’ all that I suppose.

I’ve ran it with fairly flat DH bars on top of plenty of spacers keeping the front end nice and high and weight off my wrists.
Now it’s got moto’s on and it’s like charging around on a stag steering by the antlers!
Both setups front wheel comes up no problem, bunny hops like a big bmx.
I use it daily for my farm track /Road commute, trail centres even Stiniog DH.

EBB has been fine really, I’ve had to nip it up occasionally but I’d expect that.

It very nearly was a Segment!
Rode one of those back to back with the Alpine and the Five and it blew them away so started planning a Segment build then the Four was released, one landed on our doorstep and I gave it a quick spin and gelled with it easily, being as I already had a 29er I thought I’d give the 650b a bash.

    How much does it weigh?

Looks to be just under 14kg on bagage scales. Weight was never really aconsideration though.

Anyway had a little photo shoot yesterday.

    Also,

Did you hear about the antipodean prophet who absorbed the ten commandments?

    They called him Oz mosis.

I’m assuming the Race is from the previous owners headset but then as long as the chamfered face of that that crown race mates nicely with the bearing face it’ll be fine.

I’ve never really been bothered about mechs even the highest spec ones are a very crude design.
The shifting on this NX is just as good as any from higher up the ladder IMO.
Mechs get wrecked and this is cheaper to replace when it does.

Orange bike and Hope bits, nowt wrong with that, colour on the other hand.. what size is it? Also, are they 140 forks? See Orange spec 130, but what’s 10mm between friends

Had slight doubts on the colour myself but glad I went with it as it looks fresh, makes a change from the usual orange/black.

It’s a large frame and the forks are 130’s

Very nice mate…how much did the build cost you?
    Spec list?
Liking all the hope orange parts..what’s the rear tyre clearance like with those 2.4’s?
Hans dampfs 2.35’s on my 5 touch the sides of the swing arm under flex..

Fortunately I get some very nice discount on all of the parts used.
I’ve got about 5mm clearance each side in the back, I’m on 40mm rims so they come up a little bigger, I’ll be keeping an eye on it.

Would you like me to explain Object oriented programming to you as I’m so interesting/stupid?

Does it involve a piece of string?

Hey I’m not stalking you, you’re just very “interesting”

Maybe the simplest solution would be to remove the bolt entirely from the clamp and the hose can pass through gap.

Judging by your other thread where you are having difficulty in figuring out if the clamp on a bike actually in your hands is a 34.9 where you also have a known 34.9 clamp un the other it might be best just to take it to an LBS!

Always fancied a nice ornate churchwarden pipe

I used to smoke weed in a churchwarden. Helped me give up smoking cigarettes,I used have a pipe whenever I felt like a cigarette, wasn’t exactly inconspicous mind…

Out on a nice easy bridleway / pub ride managed an OTB down an embankment using a tree as a brake, as I lay in a heap with my bike on top of me feet still nearly on the pedals, I watched in slow motion as the bottle of Old Rascal cider rattled out the the cage and straight into my teeth!

Can’t wait to get hold of my one. I only did a carpark test, but am a firm believer in the Orange ethos I’ve rode the rest of the range and find them all bang on great riding bikes.

Got my fingers crossed the 2017 Fox forks land before my next trip to Wales 😛

We recently got a Shiba Inu, Gorgeous little thing, very intelligent and quick to learn, very loving dog but they also are very independent and enjoy their own space.
Known for their tremendous endurance yet will happily sleep all day.

she’s only 6 months now so hasn’t been on very long walks yet.

They are however not recommended to be off lead except in secure areas.

Just rough n ready? How about using old scaff’ boards? Old ones need to be chucked for H&s reasons so can be had for free, new ones are only about 8 quid or so.
