Yep . I’d guess its the flanged bushes in the lever pivot assy.
Undo the lever pivot bolt remove the lever and then either very gently file the flanged bushes or using pliers or pipe wrench or similar squeeze them into their seats maybe use a piece of card to protect them from the teeth of your chosen tool.

I think maybe you should of kicked up a bit more of a fuss to begin with. The mismatched link most likely contributed to other failures and I’d have used that as leverage for at least an FOC rear end .
having said that IMO 50% off a new frame 4years on is pretty damn good maybe you should give them another go and as the st4 is no longer in production try and snap a Five .
Maybe put but a tag on it stating what you paid saving bellends like “smell it “any sidesplitting injuries

I run a 40t 1×9 but I much prefer the descents. Did the Monkey Trail @ Cannock yesterday and would’ve been happier with a 38/36 .

Maybe check out the Ghost Cagua too for a bit more versatility….

I use Hope . But lets be honest its all about the bearings if you get a shimano and it wears out just replace the bearings with some decent ones that run directly on the axle, no silly tophat seal things and they’ll be as good as hope.

I apparently can’t view the above video in my country,but I guess it doesn’t feature a dog being mangled beneath the wheels of a bike ?
Its all good when its a clean run but how would you feel if your dog was seriously injured after being innocently led onto these busy trails ? not to mention the other rider? could you blame anyone but yourself ? Is it fair to put either party under such risks?
I love dogs and love to see them running free like this ,sometimes I take my brothers staffy out and due to her nature she should be on lead at all times in public places.
Sure I could say eff it and let her off but I choose to respect others rights I could never comprehend letting her run the trails for her sake and yours.
I’d fully understand and expect anyone to be pissed with me after an accident a dog under my control caused I’d expect a smack in the gob and and with the shoe on the other foot would also hand one out ! This risks are there up to you to take them or not.
