11:52 for me, but at 62 years young I’m reasonably proud of my achievement. IF there is a next time I would carry more stuff on my bike and not bother with the camelback. A lovely event with varied scenery and trail surfaces. I didn’t enjoy the cobbly descent much as vision was impaired and my cantilever brakes are next to useless. What a lot of planning and organisation it must have taken to put the event on, many thanks to the organisers.

You could have tried the realjunkfood project’s cafe at the Regather works. They have a Sunday lunch made from intercepted food. It is Pay as you feel and comes highly recommended. Here http://realjunkfoodsheffield.com/2016/01/05/openings-times-january-2016/

We used carwow this summer and saved £6000 when buying a Berlingo XTRblue Hdi. That’s £6000 off recommended price. The lowest local dealers were prepared to come down to was £15000. We paid £11500.

Mrs Specky4eyes and myself went last year to watch a round of the downhill world cup and the 4x world championships. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and aim to go back sometime. We were in our panel van conversion and camped (rather expensively) on the ski station car park. We had electric hook up and free showers/hot water/toilets. We had our road bikes and MTBs with us and enjoyed riding some of the trails on the bike park. There are many trails to try, I think the big 5 challenge is probably worth doing. We also did some road riding and the roads are relatively quiet and smooth surfaced. Saalbach is a short ride away and was a handy place for shopping and meals. There is so much to do in the area as you’re only a stone’s throw away from Zell am See and Kaprun.

Thanks for your suggestions. I was on a demo bike so the Garmin was in the zipped hip pocket of my camelback. The zip must have worked loose and the garmin must have fallen out on the trail somewhere.I’m about to set off to ride the route in reverse, hopefully I’ll see it, but the chances must be slim.

Along with 19 other club mates we have flown twice from Liverpool with Easyjet this year. Most riders had bike cases in addition to hold luggage, and there were no problems. most bags/cases weighed in at 19 kg +, hold luggage a similar weight.

I’ve had 3 road bikes in bags and three people with their holiday luggage in my Berlingo. 2 bike bags lengthways with one on top if I remember correctly. The hold luggage bags went behind the single rear seat. We travelled from Cumbria to Liverpool airport in comfort.

Is the memory full? Try deleting some of the files in history, it worked for me.

Sadly the wife’s turbo had to be sent back to Tackx to have the flywheel re-centred, I don’t know the cycleops turbos, but you could post on Timetriallingforum, there’s plenty of geeks there who will know the answer.

The flywheel could be running out of true, this happened with my wife’s Tacx Flow turbo trainer, the vibration made it unusable.

I knocked a second wood store together using old pallets, 2 on the base and top and one each side, backed up against a fence.

I’d wait until the newer devices incorporated into the pedal are released, garmin are going to be big players.

A good loop, should take max 2.5 hours, but worth the efoort of the seemingly endless climb.I live in a village at the bottom and usually ride up to Whitbeck, following the Bridleway towards Bootle and up the grassy tracks to the top. The descent to Whicham is fast, bumpy and fun. You can park in a layby near Silecroft, or Whitbeck.

I had a 52 plate megane 1.6 VVT, it was the worst car I've ever owned. The dephaser pulley went 3 times (£600), covered under warranty. The windscreen wipers failed and the main bulbs failed regularly. As it is impossible to fit the replacement bulbs yourself, it always meant a visit to the nearest local dealer (40 miles). I virtually never cleaned the car because the dealer felt so guilty he always had it cleaned whenever it was in for repair. Not a good car for transporting bikes, but pleasant enough to drive when it was working. Just remembered, all 4 ignition coils failed! AVOID!!

I've used the same Boots shave brush for the last 30 years. I replace the Boos shave bowl when empty, usually lasts 1 year.

I tried the Tesco value jeans, but found the fit and cut of the Asda jeans preferable. Same price, great value.
