Early finish today so did a round of a very snowy Norland moor. Quite a bit of walking, quite a bit of falling, lots of grinning. Hope it stays for a while. 🙂

Did it all the time as a lad. Me and my brother used to rub the muck off the back of buses. Didn’t have to pedal for miles.

Seriously though it’s obviously very dangerous.

Quite dry and firm today. Probably the first ride i’ve properly enjoyed in months. This is taken from Ladd rock on Norland Moor near Halifax looking over toward Saddleworth.

There was that one about how people wipe their arse. Hilarious. Not looking it up though.

I like the sound of it. I used to enjoy that weekly that used to go on here. I’m in.

Sit on the back but keep your eyes peeled for appropriate sign to sprint for. The most important thing is to be first to the cafe.

Can’t see anyone beating Contador. Too strong in the Vuelta for my liking. Can’t see Wiggo or Froome being close enough. Shame.

I’ve got those gear levers. Really trendy in 1984. With a simplex/gippieme rear mech, and a campag. super record front mech. Smoothest and most accurate gear changes ever . Fact 🙂

Can’t quite see from the picture but are those corners quarter bonded. Also the brickie only has 3 finger and a thumb on each hand and looks like a bit of a meany. Just sayin like.

Hmm. It doesn’t seem that Ghengis Khan was that short. More like 5’10”. Source please Jeremy.

Interesting that Ghengis Khan was only 5’1″ though.

Ah. A very real risk Realman. Not sure if i’m prepared to be routing around a drain for a seat post half cut. May just try a big spanner.

Like it. My old road bike from the eighties has the same problem. I may try the same thing later as I haven’t started drinking yet.

The wife said she’d bought me a million presents this year. I’ve counted the ones under the tree and there’s only nine. She must have hidden the rest.

Poor little p. Think we have avoided puking bugs but both kids have colds. The youngest also has an ear infection which has kept us up most of the night. Although the way she’s rattling on in my ear I think she’s feeling better.

Started on the cheese last night. She didn’t mind because she was struggling to get it all in the fridge.

Yes. The wife sent 2 and our girls got theirs Thursday. Still time I suppose.

The obvious one is stretching. Loads of good stretches on youtube. Maybe look at doing some drills for strengthening and improving technique. You could always get a deep tissue massage in your calves. Nice. 🙂

Save your money. There are plenty of resources on the interweb to learn technique and different songs. Loads of practice is the most important.

Did mine years ago skiing in the highlands. It was out for about 3hours before it was relocated. It was strapped tightly for about 4weeks then a couple of months of physio. The doctor I saw told me to forget about climbing and there was a good chance it would occasionally slip out. It never has and I was climbing 3 months later.

Yes. All relaxed in front of the tele to bouncing off walls within 30seconds.

They are very different paint with pros and cons for both. I prefer water based as it’s faster drying and has no or very little odour. Water based is more elastic so to some extent moves with the wood but doesn’t flow out as well as oil based. Oil based is very tough but can become brittle and yellow over time.

Good quality paint is the key with both. I use Farrow and Ball mainly now. Also good brushes. I use Purdy.

All personal preference though I think.
