Really enjoyed this years tour. Glad you’ve done this thread as a bit of a come down because I’m desperately sad to see it finished and gutted Cav didn’t win yesterday although it seemed inevitable. His team just aren’t good enough but also he doesn’t seem to be as fast this year. Role on next year with Renshaw.

And next year!! I live in Halifax so i’ve not far to go. Need to pick a few good spots. I’m really tempted to be in Leeds for Le Grand Depart but it will be good in the Dales and it would be nice to see the finish. On top of that i’d really like to watch it live on TV. Second day maybe Crag Vale but they will fly up there. Maybe Holme Moss. Such a dilema. Can’t wait.

Tommy Voeckler has not scored a single point in my fantasy league team. I know he’s not been in decent shape, but he normally shows his geurny face at some point in the mountains. I’ve seen very little of him.

I think Kittel is faster. Cav has loads of experience and huge skill and excellent judgement. But this is not a finish for winging it. Teams need to be slick and well organised and this is the problem. It’s an easy one to balls up. 5 wins in a row would be amazing but Argos are strong. ,

But what an amazing tour. Froome was really impressive and fully deserves the win. Although I think he sometimes needs to calm down and let others do the chasing. Some amazing victories. Particularly enjoyed Bakelants’ win.

I think there’s a good chance Froome is clean. Schlecks been poor all year, Evans is old and tired and Bertie is clearly off the beef. They all looked tired today. You know, like they’d ridden a hard tour. Not like Lala, Pantani and the likes who just seemed to power on regardless.

Naim nait 3 and cd 3. I’ve been messing about a bit with a computer lately linked by USB to a Cambrige audio Dac then to my amp. The computer has an external power supply of only about 90w. It has a ssd type harddrive and all that shit which is good for audio. Playing Flac my CD player pisses all over it.

I do some work for Sugden Audio so was thinking about something from them soon. If I can get some kind of discount. 😉

If Froome is remotely strong tomorrow the other teams wil just attack each other for podium places. If no group goes clear other GC contenders may ignore him leaving him free to win the stage, which means Sky will need to chase down attacks. Them poor lads.

Liggets been commentating badly for 30 years plus now and I feel like i’ve sat through every bloody minute of it. At least Sherwin had a fairly desent profesional career which gives him some credibility.
But Sean Kelly was a brilliant rider. There’s not much he doesn’t know about bike racing. I’ve got my Skil jersey from the early 80’s that I bought because of him.

Far too busy at work today to take any time off. This is the stage of the tour. Highlights only for me which absolutely will not do it justice. Froome is showing no sign of weekness but Berties is also strong and will attack like mad of course.
Don’t no what Evans was doing yesterday. He seemed to be putting in very little effort. Can’t see him winning today but maybe hoping everyone will wear themselves out so he can go for it tomorrow.
