Merlin have the full transmission set, chainset, front & rear mech, shifters, chain & block for £270. From what everyones saying this is the way to go. Is it possible to take the big ring off and replace it with a bash guard with the same front mech.? Can it just be adjusted?

Oil can leak from around the gate area because its a dodgy assembly. Have you had the bike upside down at all? If so there are several fixes on’t net.

Snowdonia is good. Tryfan, Crib Goch and that. The Lakes too. But the Highlands are amazing. Anywhere in the Highlands for me.

I’m in that area. I will keep an eye out. Last week someone tried to nick my bike. Dirty.

i’ve got a 203mm on the front. A 180 would have been good enough easily.

Wasn’t someone saying the other day that Peaty uses 140’s?

Nuts are good whilst riding providing you don’t choke. Everybody does their own thing but i would say carb up the day before. No point in having a fry up unless at least 2 to 3 hour before riding. Fat can really bung you up making anything else you eat afterward a waste of time, it can even stop you absorbing water. Having said that, it is nice to have a pie for lunch amongst the bananas and that.

Especially this time of year. Nobody has much energy. Kids take a lot of time and energy not to mention the lack of sleep, thats the worst for me.
    That said, i wouldn’t change a thing.

The only lifestyle reference i can see applied too it is the “I-can’t-be-arsed-replacing-all-the-bearings-on-my-expensive-pampered-full-suss-as-they-get-ground-to-pieces-by-peak-district-mud-so-i-built-this-for-the-winter”

Yes. that’s me. Also suits the shorter distances i ride in winter.

Downloading might be convenient but it gives far too much power to apple. Also i like to have a cd or vinyl record with a sleeve and info and that. Music an art form in lots of ways. It’s a shame to see it reduced to dots and dashes.

Rear only for me. The 2.1 has a light side wall that rips easily. The 2.25 is tougher. I defo prefer a bit more grip upfront.

I’m ashamed to say i did 70mph hanging onto the side of a friends car on the Rainford bypass in the mid 80’s. I couldn’t really see but it felt fast and i’m glad I didn’t fall off.

I took my 3 and 5 year old for a few hours last year. They weren’t too interested and i spent most of my time trying to keep control of them. Mostly people looked at me like i was some kind of knob head and i didn’t pull either.
I may just take 1 this year as they do tend to gang up on me. Girls eh.

I’ve got an mmmbop. The ride is quite harsh but the geometry is ace. I think the blue pig has the same geometry. And cheep as chips too.
