You need to give time for your joints and tendons to strengthen. Although your muscles quickley adapt, your joints take more time. Good running shoes correctly fitted (by far the majority of people have a neutral foot),warming up and warming down will all help to reduce injury. Gentle stretching only for warm up, then gentle running. Then do your run and the same to warm down.

I don’t think Contadors crash was in the last 3km. It’s a big deficit. They are right to be panicing. What grounds do they have for a reduction to 34secs?

Well for one thing you can usually go as fast as you like without bumping into walkers/horses/dogs…..usually.

I’ve known a lot of very strong weedy blokes. I think size has very little to do with strength. Therefore I believe Redthunder’s nan’s story.

If you look on the end of the pedal axle, there is a fitting for a allen key.

Yes. I suspected that the tow bars ones are better. I may be changing the car soon so didn’t want to go to the expense of a tow bar. But defo don’t want to lose my bike of the back. Hmmm

Dunk it in white spirit. Scrub with old toothbrush. Dry thoroughly with rag. Apply lube. Wipe off excess. Be happy.

    Hang on.

“It would take an elephant, balanced on a pencil, to break through a sheet of graphene the thickness of Saran Wrap [cling film].”

    Thats not proof of strength.

It can’t be moving an inch if the bearing are worn. It must be something to do with the caliper.

I heard somewhere that nettle stings can prevent you getting arthtritis in later life. Could it be true?

The stings always seem stronger this time of year.

Had it for a couple of years a while back. It’s a repetetive strain injury which I got from a particular spraying contract I had. It was extremely painful. Rest didn’t help. Eventually a friend of mine started giving it regular, very painful massages. Something to do with knots on the tendons or something. He used his knuckle quite violently to push them out. Well painful but damn well worked. Probably something like brokensoul is describing.

I had 1.25 cu/m of concrete delivered this morning for £150. Done in 10 mins and a proper solid base.
