Try Sierra Cycling based in Fuengirola some fantastic trails for you and Fuengirola has lots to offer for a young family like the award winning Zoo ,the great for young children Tivalli world in Benalmadena and Fuengirola has its own water park.
So theres plenty for your family to do while your out ripping up the dusty trails .

+1 sierra cycling the routes are fantastic

You could plan a route for a Weds night ride through there , say with 20 idiots (which wouldnt be hard to find ) all like minded people with the right to roam philosophy.

Just a couple of points to realise
1 . Finding any guide out here at short term notice is near on impossible and especially one who can speak English and knows the trails.
2. The van hire scenario – Spain is so differant to the UK , if you needed to hire a van at the weekend forget it you might be lucky to find a place open until midday on a Saturday if your very lucky , if you needed to get a hire van in siesta time (2-5) forget it , I dont think Ive ever seen a minibus for hire either , you dont even get 6 seater white cabs here as the local town halls wont issue them a liscense much easier to take two cabs and double the fair.
Your in the height of the season with loads of golfers who have probibly prebooked all the vehicles months ago.

Ive known Alan and the previous guides Johnny and Dave for a while now and I even showed them so routes further afield, Ive talked with lots of groups who were here on holiday and everyone I spoke to enjoyed there time here in Spain . I am sorry to say you might of been unlucky and a bit unfortunate , I hope you enjoyed the riding we have here as some of it is fantastic ask my mates from Blazing Saddles in Hebden Bridge who have been here 5 years running and have had some great rides on the best natural riding trails theyve ever ridden.

My Hope M4 overheat but I am heavy on the brakes and I am a bit heavier than your average rider , but the descents are quite long and fast , I even had a brand of a M4 rotor on my wrist for a few weeks when i went to pull a twig out of my rear wheel and touched the rotor while doing so.

Alright I use my hybrid bike everyday for running around on , but havent rode since April off road ,reason I am a fat ba**ard with no motivation plus its been 40 degrees here lately .its looking a bit grim for my day trip to the uk for a ride at the end of the month and it aint easy riding that will be doing. Ill have to pay for it but the descents will be worth it !

Spanish drivers ,moped riders are a nightmare and driving on the autovia is annoying middle lane hoggers ,I think its something to do with latin machoism the inside lane is percived as the "slow lane" .Its god dam dangerous out here and while riding on the roads you really have to be on the ball !

I love my 4×4

I used to own a Fiat Panda 4×4 with snow tyres fitted great in the snow just ground clearence problems but for most of the public it wouldnt be an issue.
I have a Mitsubishi Montero 3.2DiD which I wouldnt know how it is in the snow as the probibility of it snowing hear is very unlikely ,but hoping to take a trip up to the Sierra Nevadas in Febuary

You need to eat small low fat meals upto six a day and also drink plenty of water ,this fires up your metabolism , also try doing some weights as building up muscle also burns extra calories and dont forget at least 45 mins a day CV work out.
If you eat fatty foods you could buy some tablets like "adios" which basically attract the fat from the food and stops it being absord by the body .
