You won’t be disappointed Rockhopper, was stood next some folk that come all the way from Spain to see them, they’re developing quite a following. Funny for me cos Willgoose is my wife’s cousin and I’ve known him since he was 14!
Gotta stick up for MA Hobbs, she is prone to drivel as has been pointed out, but she plays great tunes and has a real love for the music, unlike bowman and keaveny. Hang in there for the tunes and actually I have now become to enjoy the drivel. The week she sat in on breakfast weekdays was glorious, meant I didn’t have to switch over to Humphreys ranting on R4.
We did it last night. Drove down from Manchester, arrived in Llanberis 5:45, up Llanberis path to summit for 7:45, down Rangers and Telegraph and at the chippy just before 9, that’s with a couple of puncture stops. Home and in bed by midnight. Great summer evening. Gonna be grinning for days!
For the recent/non mainstream I’d go for Piccadilly Records who are Manchester based or Resident records in Brighton. Both do mail order and quick delivery and you get the added benefit of knowing you are supporting an excellent record shop. Otherwise it’s amazon and their tax avoiding, profit maximising greed!
My lad won’t ride his bike without one. Sometimes if I’ve forgotten his when we are out somewhere he will refuse to ride his bike. It’s just become what he does, no big thing but if you ride your bike you wear a helmet. Why wouldn’t you? My two boys although younger than yours can fall off on the pavement, footpath or anywhere you by not fully paying attention, I’m sure the helmets have saved them a few grazes and scrapes. Are you a bad parent because yours didn’t wear them today…….nah
Withington cycles have always done me proud, closer to town the bike boutique are a geniune bunch of guys who know their stuff and aren’t out to rip you off.
+1 for Astra estate, with back seats down you get bikes in without wheels off, cheaper than focus too, mines a 1.6 so no rocket, but cheap to run and nice enough if a little uninspiring. Work horse would be a good description.
We got a decent one from Decathlon. Worked a treat and ready for son number two any time soon. Only cost £30 and gets my recommend, gave him the balance skills, had a brake and he is now pedaling away and racing me around the park.
WMP won’t sync with an ipod (as far as I know). I hate itunes and ditched it. Two alternatives are media monkey and winamp, which are both available as free downloads. I use media monkey and find it great. Have a google of those two and see what you reckon.
