+1 for the attention he’ll receive at school.

I did mine 3 times (or maybe 4).

Was only reading his LEJOG posts the other day. A damn fine read they are too.

Just taken another look and spotted his mum commenting on this last post. So sad.

    RIP.

What about those who believe we ‘encouraged’ the Japanese to hit PH in order to get the yanks involved?

    Great ideas guys.

Favourite now is indeed an Ikea beech or oak worktop plus battens and leg. Fitting a nice ply to a frame is a sound idea but not as simple as the former. Needs to be sturdy enough to hold 2 or 3 24″ TFTs, a printer and keyboard shelf so I guess proper worktop legs have the advantage over something like breakfast bar legs (which are a fair bit cheaper)? Edge trimmer or router for the finish.

Not sure I’ll get 2.5m+ up the stairs so maybe some kind of strap/hoist and in through the window job will be required.

There’s a sawmill a few miles away so I’ll give them a shout in the morning.

    Cheers all

Just run through the spec designer on Roofbox then give them a call if you have any questions. Decent people.

I remember Street Boy (on Kiss FM) doing a sketch on this about 10 years ago. He used to loiter inside the men’s toilets at London stations, spot someone not washing their hands, then follow them out and announce to everyone “This bloke just went to the toilet and didn’t wash his hands”. Was quite funny back in the day.

Give it to a more worthy and understanding cause, aka me.

    peaslake stores!

brew is ok but there sandwiches are TONK as is the famous cheese sticks!

    You’re having a laugh, right?

Proper tasty bang tidy food at northern prices. Their cheese straws, sausage and leek bake, quiches and various cakes (to name but a few) are epic. End of.

An experience at the Cwmcarn cafe made me laugh a few years ago. A mate ordered ‘burger and chips’ for something like £3.50. Sounded like a bargain until the matronly waitress delivered a handful of chips and a burger (yes, just a burger – no bap or anything else) the size of a small cookie. Oh, how we chuckled. Always best playing safe with a jacket potato in those sorts of place.

They do the funniest things and make you see every little thing in life that little bit differently.

Well Diablo 2 came out in 2000 and people are still playing/ played it until 3 came out.

Agreed. But I’m not one of them. Completed the original back in the day but didn’t bother with II. III looks kind of tempting.

There were some download links doing the rounds earlier – the idea being to save fighting against everyone else for bandwidth on release day. 7Gb IIRC. Didn’t trust them in the end so gonna wait.

Having said that, it looks a lot like an old skool hack n slash with a bit of RPGness thrown in, so unsure what one’s stickability will be like.

Aye, tis legally very footpathy … but also very rideable. Like titusrider, I’ve ridden round there for years and never once been challenged.

IIRC the offical NDW nr Woldingham does drop down the slope (M25 side) and then become a bit of a faff as you head east. Not worth riding that section IMO. Stick to the woody bits above.

Yep, that was the one GrahamS. Oddly didn’t appear in my search though.

Yep, N would be a good place to start – but the connection here in the sticks is only 3Mb with no date for fibre. Hence wondering if I need to spend the extra £40 on top of the £80.

ton, if you get fed up of your burgers tasting too ‘metallic’ then make the mix up with 50% pork mince. Really gives is a savoury note that beef only burgers often don’t provide.

Ah yes, now I remember your post in the other thread. Scotch eggs really are a thing of beauty.

FTR, I’ve pulled down 90+ recipes from Mark’s site. Some are iDave compliant; some naturally not. Plenty to tuck into though 🙂

Onyx will sort you out. Make sure you download the correct version. Works well for me.

Avoid that spammy Mac Cleaner (or whatever it is) ad that appears with every search. Had a v bad reputation.

We bought an 06 TDi Sportwagon from a main dealer last year (for similar reasons: you get a lot of car for your money). This was pre knowledge of any takeover. Have had a couple of warranty issues resolved (with free loan car) by said dealer. They reckon they’ll be around for a long while yet with their only problem being delays in getting hold of certain parts.

FTR, look at indie options for servicing. Our’s is also okay for 2yr intervals – that’s not something Saab will tell you. If you dig around and find your car is eligible then tell them and they’ll admit it.

A fair spectrum of opinions there guys. Don’t think I’ll be rushing in just yet – even though the positives are sound as are many reviews on the likes of Wiggle

As much as I like “barefooting” it, I don’t see myself getting on with that technique on the trails – especially if the padding and support isn’t there.

Will pop into a couple of running shops I know and see what have to add.

Yep, that Galaxy Explorer rocked – but so did a lot of the space kits.

And Rachel, I was given that car for Christmas … I had a right strop when my brother kept using the controller because I thought he’d kill the batteries. Just downloaded the instructions and a whole load of memories came flooding back 🙂 Happy days.

I gave the first book a try a while back but gave up half way through. Full of girly faff and dull backstory BS. I really don’t know what all the fuss is about.

    Looks very 90s IMO.

I’d start again with a WordPress site > pro themes (e.g. from Theme Forest) are dead cheap and you’ll have loads of scope to funk it up in a more contemporary way.

If you did not get-it as a child, you will not get-it as an adult.

Nope. I couldn’t stand it as a child. Mates used to bring over their own jars when we had “tea parties” because we didn’t even have it in the house.

Love the stuff now. Tis best on thick toast with a layer of peanut butter on top.

You can access it through the website without installing anything.

Hmm, you have a point there. I keep forgetting about that because I’ve always used the local client.

Does the public sharing work the same way, i.e. set up a local DB folder with shared permissions that only designated users can access? If so, then I guess you can have as many of shared folders as you like?
