Would like to see the recommended specs for running that on anything above pretty decent.

Also hope the AI is up to scratch.

I think it was – he hates himself somewhat for being out living it up as his mate died..he prob wont ever forgive himself for that.

I’m a big believer in saying “I’ve no regrets”, but like you say, methinks Keelan resides on the other side of the fence. Sad.

Keelan’s story about his mate Stewart is proper sad 🙁

Was given the first one when I was about 8. No way was I ever going to read that. So I didn’t until my late 20s when I somehow ploughed through TTT and ROTK. Definitely bogs down in parts. But still so uniquely ahead of its time that IMO it remains timeless. Don’t think I’ll be reading it again though. Give me a mix of techo-fantasy/steampunk/cyber-fi any time.

Yep, less than 3% of my friends are on it and I don’t see that changing much for a while. Set my account up a few weeks ago but can’t be arsed with replicating my FB activity onto G+. And neither can my mates because they’re FB posts are way more busy.

I take it you’re going to work/exercise him sensibly while he’s still young? IME I wouldn’t go running or biking with a 1-2 yr old Springer unless the pace was slow enough for him to be within his zone.

Lots of running around chasing balls and stuff, tire the little so’n’so out.

Nope, not always the best move when they’re young. You can easily cause damage now that will lead to arthritis and other joint/ligament problems.

Speak to other Spaniel owners if you can, preferably people you know/trust. Also speak to at least 2-3 local vets. Get a consensus, not just A SINGLE opinion. And check out any spaniel forum(s).

We have a 6 yr old and he’s bonkers, but there’s a learning curve as with many animals.

Like I mentioned to you a few months ago, check out the Lightning Process. I know 3 people (inc the missus) who transformed overnight from being riddled with varying degrees of ME to leading perfectly healthy active lifestyles.

They should just declare and give themselves a good number of overs to get a wicket or two. Imagine having the Indians 40-2 at COP. Sorted.

I guess that with two more days to go they are letting Cook stay in to go for the 333.

    Or maybe the 400?

That would be a mistake IMO, especially with us needing a win to guarantee a 2 match margin.

Would be embarrassing if the rain kicked in and we ended up with a draw before losing the final test.

i used to love Spy vs Spy on the C64, spent hours playing that with my brother trying to blow each other up!

Probably the funniest 2 player game ever. The jungle one was best IIR. Loved it big time.

Overall my view is that this offence is trivial within the context of the riots and the crime also trivial in terms of what has been stolen overall. I dont see how or why we should ignore this when sentencing this individual. If this is the bench mark then here will be a lot of 10 year stretches coming.

I know what you’re saying and that’s what I joked about in my OP. But this is just for show.

The police can do their bit on the street (albeit with their hands tied behind their backs) but once they’ve handed them over to the interview rooms the system goes mental. This whole episode showcases how embarrasses this all is.

+1 for get a proper fitting.

The first one I had was 7-8 years ago. I was in the store (somewhere in Brighton IIR) for about 90 mins but learned a lot and ended up with exactly what I needed. Took that advice into every other fitting and haven’t had any issues whatsoever.

I do wonder if we’d be a bit less dismayed if he had been a young black kid with no criminal record instead.

    EDIT: STW? Institutionally racist?

Only the ignorant would fail to see through that. Black, white, yellow or whatever – the kid nicked a bottle of £3.50 water.

But yes it is a statement of intent by the authorities, they have to be seen to act in this way.

A 6 month sentence for that is just bullshit. Nothing more than making a PR example which no doubt, after appeal (hopefully), will result in something more sensible. While at the same time, those **** that were really on a hate mission are getting put away for real.

Yep, I’m with you there mac. Plenty of idiots who got caught in the moment but will ‘fess up = easy pickings for police who want statistics to back up their zero tolerance approach.

I’m getting misty reading this thread. Still got my BBC model A (upgraded to a B and with a graphics extension chip…woo!), and Amiga in the attic.

    Do you remember Castle Quest?

Can remember watching the video loop upstairs in Boots when it first came out (how sad!?). Then played it todeath on holiday.

One of the most addictive games ever:

Ok, so they’ve created a dedicated bike parking space, but as usual it’s “do so at your own risk”. Don’t know about you, but not taking that risk myself.

I should be picking up my wristband on Sat morning from someone who can no longer make it. But it now sounds like I’ll have to be in situe 1hr 30mins before the bloody riders get there! WTF is that all about?

And is the wristband zone just for the zig zags? Or is the Boxhill ‘straight’ (from Smith and Western to Headley Rd) also in the zone? I don’t fancy the idea of being hemmed in and being immobilised. Would much rather chill under some trees with a couple of mates without any hassles.

Mudshark, if you’re coming into WH then you should expect to see some kind of signage telling you to head up one of the paths along the zig zags. I can’t see them expecting everyone to cross the stepping stones then climb up that bloody steep part to the top.

My initial plan was to take in some pre-race trails and then climb up onto the NDW (still on the bike) but I’ve since heard that bikes aren’t going to be allowed near the course. If that’s the case, then WTF is that about too?

So far it sounds like the authorities haven’t got a clue how to run this event or what to expect, so they’re just playing it safe.

Kevevs, I remember buying Wizball for my C64 back in the mid 80s. Me and a mate played it for a few hours then told my mum this was the game we’d been developing over the past few weeks (me on the graphics, him on the coding, and another mate on the sound/music). She was so impressed that she invited a whole bunch of neighbours in from our street! I remember loads of people being crammed into my bedroom while we ‘showcased’ our ‘achievement’.

EDIT: I also remember Knightlore (got that on Xmas eve from a mate and we played it for days on end). Was a big fan of most Ultimate games; from the days of Jetpac and Lunar Jetman, through to Sabrewulf and Underwurlde. Much better on the Speccy than the C64.

    Can I have first dibs?

For some reason I don’t think there’ll be much of a public turnout for this one. I’ve seen no local PR other than the ‘warning: this road will be closed on 14th Aug …” notices that sprang up recently.

I reckon most people will be pissed off at the congestion and then spend the day cursing the Olympics coming to town.
