only have a tiny little garden but..

pak choi doing awesomely… had the first of it last night.. loads left..
radishes doing really well had the first few of those last night too…

had a pepper plant die last week… no idea why!… still got one left though which is doing really well.. the chilli plant could do with some more sunshine though..

tomatoes getting there… first flowers appearing..

first few courgette flowers earlier in the week so they wont be long now.. (grown in an old bookcase..!)

dwarf beans looked rubbish until a week or so ago but they put on a bit of a spurt and have flowers now..!

carrots looking good too.. might pull them in a week or so and see if i can get a second crop in before autumn..

loads of baby leaf rocket and lollo rosso thats constantly being picked and re-sown..

had one decent crop of strawberries a few weeks ago but theyve reflowered and there looks to be even more this time! should have 5 plants next year compared to 2 this year after one has put out three runners!

thats actually quite a lot of stuff thinking about it… the veggie patch bit is only about 12ft by 4ft.. and everythings grown in pots and troughs.. (and a bookcase)!

is it bad that one of my highlights of a friday night is now a glass of vino and gardeners world?

drill some holes in the downtube? ;)

probably best to have a go at dismantling both ends…

then air can get in one end while the water comes out of the other

though im guessing there might be a blockage somewhere… have a gentle poke about in the drainage holes at the ends of the tube with a spoke / other pokey thing if nothing drains out

edit: or use the bottle cage holes…

    tyre lever
    park patch repair kit
    set of brake pads
    2 zip ties
cool little micro pump i bought from charliethebikemonger..

very rarely go out if its raining…

I drink tea, eat biscuits and stare whistfully out of the window instead… 8)

dont mind so much if it starts while im out there but im usually wishing i was inside with said tea and biscuits rather than enjoying the ride..

might help if i had a decent rainjacket… (the one i have is cheap and gets wetter on the inside usually through sweat…)

blue mosque / topkapi palace / aya sofia are amazing..

Basillica cistern is an interesting underground break from the heat if its hot..!

the grand bazaar is rubbish.. think miles and miles of corridors market stalls selling tat..

the spice bazaar and area around there is much nicer..!

Kara Deniz restaurant for Pide or lamb in clay pot..

Sultanahmet Köftecis near blue mosque for kofte..

Leb-i Derya restaurant above the richmond hotel in beyoglu is a bit pricy but very nice!

fish boats across from the spice bazaar offer a cheap and tasty snack..

    er.. thassit from memory..!

would a climber use a rope that had already snapped once if he didn’t need too ?

    his bike didnt break.

would a climber carry on up the rock if they missed a hand hold.. slipped.. and fell a few feet and didnt really hurt themselves?

I tire of this now. you sir. are a troll.

climbing on a rope knitted by your gran having it snap once but hey lets see if it will hold this time.

his bike was capable of the jump… he slipped and didnt get quite enough speed..

a better analogy would be having a climbing rope somehow get accidentaly damaged.. rather than your ridiculous rope knitted by gran idea.. would a climber use a rope like that? no.

theres an element of risk in everything we do… people have entirely avoidable accidents everyday.
thats why we have setup these quite frankly amazing emergency services to help us out when something doesnt go quite according to plan.

if it had been a climber on the same crag whose rope may or may not have snapped?

should they have organised their own private ambulance and rescue team on site ‘just in case’ ?

should these guys have had their own rescue and medical team on standby too?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cumbria-13640925

this is what the air ambulance is for…

theres always a risk someone else will need it when its on a shout..
and why they have magical inventions called radios so they can speak to each other… and divert to more serious emergencies if need be..
