i had this happen.. turned out the tyre was slightly too big compared to the rim and slipped round when riding along.. which pulled the innertube with it..

the resulting leverage on the valve from the hole in the rim snapped the valve..

not a fan of Jamies italian..
they seem to be very average food bumped up to expensive prices trading on his name..

we ate at Cafe Gandolfi[/url] when we stopped off in Glasgow last year on the way back from Skye, after recommendations on here.. and the food was excellent!

saw a hoopoe in Ibiza… beautiful bird!

wanted to see one of those for years since seeing a picture of one in my observers book of birds as a kid!

also seen sea eagles.. a golden eagle.. on skye.. peregrines in a couple of places too..

the best though has to be puffins… theyre amazing!

    *not my pic

Edit: Owls on nightrides are pretty special too.. so silent and good grief they scare the bejeesus out of me when they drop out of trees right in front of me!

not really what you asked.. but ive got one of these..

    Airbone micro pump

its amazingly light, small and really well made.. and fits inside my tiny deuter saddle bag easily…!

the downside is it does take a while to pump up a tyre, but it gets there eventually… It pumped up my 2.35 high roller no problems last week after a puncture..

and as it doesnt get used all that often (cursed myself there!) it doesnt really bother me that it might take a bit longer :D

no idea on the temp but my fingers nearly fell off when i had to swap my brake pads and then fix a puncture…

still had a brilliant ride though!

used to work fine for me..

found it best to set the indexing up on the middle gears though

then its only slightly out at each end with the tiny differences in spacing.

if you dont mind me asking.. where are you staying gribble? and does the place have somewhere to store bikes? :D

as im thinking of a mini holiday to wales sometime later this year and we *might* take the bikes with us, but would need somewhere to store them whilst we do other stuff..

    Cheers for any info.. :)

Yoga is brilliant.. ive been going once a week for about a year now

i dont go in for all the chakra, energy flow rubbish.
but.. increased core strength.. flexibility.. balance.. improved posture.. increased focus.. its really helped my riding this past year too through a combination of the above.

and as someone else said stretching the cycling shortened hamstrings is so good..

not been yet this year due to a chest infection and can really feel it.. cant wait to get back!

and make sure your teacher is properly qualified

I liked alcatraz.. had been wandering around all afternoon thinking.. i know this place.. its all so familiar..! it was only when i got back to the UK and talking to my brother about it that i discovered it was from playing tony hawks pro skater on the playstation!!

    explore china town..

    go see lombard street..

go to golden gate park.. the japanese gardens are nice and so was the museumy thingy was fun to wander round the aquarium and butterfly house

eat a ghirardelli ice cream sundae.. then collapse due to sugar overload..

have a wander around fishermans wharfe.. reminded me a bit of an american version of blackpool before it turned into the hell hole it is now..

i think i was there for about 3 days and easily managed to fit all that in..

    ugh :(

The last time i was in that decathlon I saw someone dodgy walking about muttering to himself and looking shifty.. thought nothing of it but a couple of minutes later the alarm went off as he ran out of the shop’s fire escape with one of their bikes..!

    *cue staff running after him*

walked out 5 minutes later after paying for my stuff and he had been pinned to the floor in the car park by three staff and was looking decidedly sorry for himself..
