Thanks for taking the time to respond!
I have just found out that it's indoor – a place called Langar Karting & Quad Centre – near Nottingham (www.lkqc.com)
Thanks for the tips, I will read up on racing lines.
I think it's going to be a demanding day – karting in the morning, paint-balling in the afternoon then boozing followed by curry. Better set Sunday aside for recovery.
My folks also have a place on the Bodrum Peninsular – in a little village called Torba. I have been loads of times but never with my bike. There are a couple of old bikes out at the house – an old Marin I think – and I have taken the bikes out on the roads but have never ventured into the forests.
Next time I am there is there a local company that can offer guiding?
Gumushluk is great – especially Mimosa – one of the finest places to eat in the world!
Hi, this sound like such a good idea. Count Me in. .
I have been learning how to use an SLR with a Nikon film camera but it's an expensive process. Getting my first digital SLR in June for my 30th, would be great to pick up tips. Happy to do lots of riding too. The area is not too far from Nottingham – will be driving over & room in the car if anybody from the area wants a lift.
I had this last year. It started in November 08 and I was off the bike until March 09. I could not walk more than 50 metres without acute pain.
I visited a couple of physios before correct diagnosis. Treatment involved lots of stretching and a number of strengthening exercises. My best advice is to see a physio asap and get a professional, tailored solution.
Thank you for all the feedback, so many good experiences.
I am definately going to book one. Wickers World looks suitable, thanks neverfastenuff, they fly from Chatsworth which is only 30 mins away and I can pay for the missus and me in over installments.
For what it's worth, I came across this link on a local MTB club website, it shows you how to service external shimano BB's and extend their life. I have not tried it yet but it seems straight-forward and worth a punt:
Hi Rich,
Do you stretch after each ride? If not, I would strongly advise you to do so. If you have tight muscles, the knee cap can be pulled to one side during excersise causing pain. 5 minutes of stretching after your ride will really help.
