I would give the walls a really good clean with sugarsoap then a clean with warm water & then paint over with emulsion. That should do the trick.

Does this involve taking the front wheel off? If so, I’m out.

Thank you OP! Bagged my good lady a nice new wetsuit for her open water swimming.

Freevee is Amazon Prime’s ad supported streaming service. Free to access in the UK & you can access it through Prime apps (on your TV or box for example). You just watch it through Prime as you would have done with Bosch. There will, annoyingly, be adverts though.

I got my little one some bib shorts from Stolen Goat. They have lasted well.

I don’t have an answer to your question but wanted to let you know that if you give your beans a quick spray with water (from a small atomiser) before grinding, it stops any static and messiness completely.

Like to ask if I have convinced the interviewer of my ability to succeed in the role and then address any feedback from the answer.

When I was 20, my father-in-law took me to a car auction & I got a bit too excited & ended up coming away with a Citroen C2. I think I liked the colour. Anyway, what an absolute shed.

It had no service history and when I serviced it it was clear it had never been anywhere near a spanner. The oil was like pre-historic sludge & the plugs were seized in.

I was young and poor & had to sell it on at a fair loss (which I felt guilty about). Lesson learned & I haven’t been back to a car auction as I’m too impulsive!

You have become so used to the privacy of working from home that when the office does open for one day a week, you can’t get through a morning without a dangerw@nk.

I had just had the email to say that the event is cancelled for 2021. Not unexpected but disappointing non the less. Especially after 4 months of hard training. Still, it’s got me in good shape!

I can recommend CBT Coalville Limited. They repaired a carbon frame for me & refinished the area to a very high standard – unnoticeable.

Derbyshire/Leicestershire though. But they do accept posted frames.

I have a pair of 105 5600 10 speed levers in a parts bin that you can have. I’m not certain if they are compatible but they are yours if you want them! PM me if helpful.

I also have Hope RX4 callipers with GRX levers (non Di2) and think they are excellent. Stopping power is good but the big win for me was the ease of set-up and much less grinding noise as they seem to have a bit more clearance between pads & discs.

    They look ace too!

I have recently put Hope RX4 callipers on my gravel bike. They have a bit more clearance between pads & disc. They were loads easier to set up than the Shimano GRX callipers they replaced and seem to reduce the grinding noise too. They do still occasionally make noise but it’s definitely less noticeable.

I have the dirty Reiver (only the 120km was available to me) and the frontier 300 which will be a mega challenge for me but I’m really enjoying training for it!

I use an online store called Muddy Puddles for my girls (6 & 4) outdoor coats, splash suits, welly socks…. The quality is excellent. My youngest is in a coat passed down from her big sister.

They have some great stuff & I highly recommend them. I will be shopping with them when my eldest outgrows her current stuff.

I have booked one of those luxury teepees for a good nights sleep after the ride. It’s a bit extravagant but the thought of pitching a tent with 186 miles and 4600 metres of ascent in my legs is way too much!!

    spacecadett

    I’m signed up too.

I’m not mega fit by any stretch of the imagination & haven’t ever done this sort of mileage in one go before (or the ascent). My longest ride is 120 miles but that was a very long time ago I don’t mind admitting that I am a bit terrified!

Loads of time to prepare though. I have a structured training plan which a friend (a TT demon) put together for me. The next 16 weeks seems pretty steady – low intensity work on a trainer & a couple of longer rides a week – and the hardest bit of it will be to not go too hard!

    Good luck with your prep!

I also have the Hunt 4 season gravel (700c) and am very happy with them. I am in fact toying with the idea of a pair of hunt carbon 650 wheels too for a pair of wider tyres.

I am unable to answer your question about fit but wondered if you knew that you can hire a Watt bike before you buy. A month is £99 which sounds like a lot but it would go a long way to reassure you!

I had Vernon Barker fix a Ti Cotic Soda a couple of years ago (maybe 5ish having given it a bit more thought!)

It wasn’t pretty but it was fixed and the repair held up. It wasn’t too hideous a repair either.

Worthwhile if you love the frame like I did.

I built something similar last year & went with kingspan. I got it (delivered) from a company called Seconds & Co. they have an eBay shop. It saved hundreds of pounds. The edges on quite a lot of the panels were slightly damaged & there were quite a few dents here and there but that didn’t bother me.

I recently insulated a garden building & bought a load of celotex insulation from a company called Seconds & Co. They have an eBay shop & even with £40 delivery, I saved a lot of money.

Exotic Hard woods are located in Chapel en le Frith so not too far from Glossop.

They have a wide range of boards and have been very helpful to me in the past. Not sure what you want to spend but they have a Paduak board on their website for £70 that is 12” wide x 1” thick x 84” long.

I have had a plug in hybrid as my company car for about 2 weeks. It’s a Mercedes C class estate. The 350e which has a 2 litre petrol engine & an electric motor. The biggest attraction is the tax liability. The CO2 emissions are just 49 g/km so it’s in the 5% bracket so for a £42k car I pay just £60 per month which is amazing.

I’m getting around 45 mpg which I am happy with.
It definately feels heavier than the standard c class estate but is very relaxing to drive & a lot more comfortable that the BMW 330D I have just sent back (a different beast all together!)

I plug in every night at home & charging takes 3-4 hours. Not sure how much it will cost me in electricity yet. I have a standard outdoor plug which is working fine. I did consider having an electric car point installed (£185) & haven’t yet ruled it out as they are subsidised at the moment.

All in all, I’m very happy & will definately notice the tax difference.

    Hope this helps.

I use an Ortofon 2M Red and I am very happy with it.

I’m using it on a Mitchell Tecnodec turntable with a Rega RB300 tone arm, Trichord Dino Phono stage, Icon Audio Valve amp and King Sound electrostatic speakers

I think my system sounds great and I would recommend the cartridge.

    Hope this helps.

I would wash the walls with sugarsoap before doing anything. I know its an extra step but it shouldn’t take too long & I think it’s always worthwhile starting with a nice clean surface.

Electric & hybrids are becoming a brilliant option for company cars. I have just ordered a Mercedes C-Class estate – 350E. It’s a petrol/plug in hybrid and falls within the 5% benefit in kind tax – based on 49g/km co2 & 136 mpg (we’ll see about that last statement though as) so despite it being a £40k car, it will cost me just £65 a month in tax.

I’m not the only one thinking like this because I have to wait until April for delivery.

I can highly recommend Biberwier – I have been going there with family for a number of years. It is very close to the Zugspitze (highest mountain in Germany). It’s not a massive resort but has enough to keep you entertained and a great nursery slope. The lift pass gets access to two other close resorts too – Lermoos & Ehrwald.
Fairly close to Munich. In fact one year to get there, I flew to Munich, caught a train to Garmisch then Taxi to Biberwier.

I have a woodturning lathe & am based in Nottingham. Can help if you’re local. However, £40 doesn’t sound to bad to be honest, you would be getting close to that for the hardwood alone.

Sketchup is brilliant & free. There are hundreds on tutorials on YouTube to help you get to grips with the software.

I use Sketchup for woodworking plans & I think it would work well for s shed too.

I have a record power lathe & pillar drill and the quality is quite good. I was hoping to find a Meddings pillar drill on eBay but waited & waited for one to come up within a reasonable distance but it didn’t happen. Meddings drill are excellent quality.

If you don’t mind older machines then Wadkins for tablesaws, Startrite for bandsaws.

Axminster kit is pretty good quality too. My tablesaw was cheap but I made it very usable with an aftermarket Axminster fence.

If you are getting into machine tools, don’t forget about dust extraction – it’s so important. I have a Camvac system & it works well in my little shop.

The Trend T5 is a cracking little router for small jobs and can be picked up quite cheap 2nd hand plus there less than £100 new.
