Perhaps changing your riding style so your not continually dragging your back brake?

Its not a case of mtfu, just learning and getting use to descending quicker and braking more efficiently.

For a bit of freeride/DH riding, there are some jumps and tracks in Belmont woods on Belmont Drive, which is just passed Ashton court heading out to nailsea, but these are only short tracks, more for sessioning.

There is a load of stuff tucked away in the Mendips, it’s great fun, but there is a bit of a ride back up the hill, which is ok on my sx trail but will be much harder on a full DH rig.

Bad asse bikes will point you in the right direction if you pop in.

    continuing this theme…

What Bike, Sx trail with minnion on front and high roller on back, or trek fuel with diesel on back and a Michedlin DH tyre on front?

Also Flats or pedals – bearing in mind it will be wet root city there in those woods and I’m setting off mid morning, so a few hundred wheels would already have given those roots an extra buff!

I’m in, and riding on a Trek fuel 6.5 and worrying about tyre choice! Trying to decide on Micheline 16 or 24 on front. I think the 16 is winning.

I’m also sleeping in the village hall, rather than driving from Bristol.

Don’t think snow will be an issue, but the weather forecast looks a bit windy on the day with a risk of some showers, which means having to carry water proof shorts as well as a jacket.

    Looking forward to it.
