Our weekend was fun, great laugh roller racing on Saturday night, thanks for the fireball Whisky Taz!!!

Our first time at the BBB and what have we been doing for the last 4 years.

great event, great atmosphere, friendly people and amazing entertainment for everyone…

Just be picking straw out of the campervan for the rest of the year! 🙂

we, as always, had a great time, a litlle later start for us this year (11:15!!) and drinking whilst we wait meant we were very loud and had a small audience of die hard roller racers left…

Still great though, think i still have a hangover today!

Next year we ride and we set up outside if the weether is as glorious as it was this year!

we’ll be there too, so if you don’t fancy the CX bit you can always just try and win the roller racing prizes….

might be a bit close and to do with something that was on QI re boca bola implied association to a brand etc

anyway anyone up for it? before we spend loads on a pair of fatties…

evening entertainment at mayhem or something…

we plan on making it distance covered over time, so slow and steady or hammer and fall off…

SSJeff, well last year we struggled to find people later on in the evening, probably as we were outside and it was cold, so this year we just went with a leaderboard…

However, as we were indoors we should probably have at least run a top 8…next year I think we will definately do that and hopefully have a few more racers who have not been distracted by a football match !!

we had a great night…again…nice beer for sure…

we’ll have photos and times of the roller racing up on our website very soon, ther are some very funny race faces…

will have to make it out for one of these as we are only down the road 🙂

Maybe next week

we will be back there again this year providing roller racing fun for all those that have not burnt enough energy on the course, or to tet the healing powers of the Cider??, this time with little bikes as well to cater for anyone from about 5ft tall….parents vs kids roller racing anyone??

By far the best event we have done and all for a very worthy cause, whats not to like 🙂

that must be Keith then, my ears are still ringing from Brandon and Dan’s efforts with the megaphones, must remember to “fix” the volume control a bit lower…

Brandon was fast, for his age and size it was incredible, looked like he could have done it all day as well 🙂

ha ha you should have had a go WCA, it is addictive…could have won a nice yellow t-shirt…never mind…maybe next year we’ll make it to BBB and you can have a go after a few beers 🙂

We were there in guildhall square roller racing all day. Was a busy day for sure and the two mechanics near us had queues all day mainly fixing gears and pumping up tyres. Never saw Kirsty Gallacher either. Did anyone on here race with us?

Thought I would chip in as we would be keen to get involved if we can help at all.

We are South Coast Sprints, based on the South coast (Hampshire, Sussex, Dorset). We are running an Opensprints system, GFX front end. Coloured platforms, lights, identical bikes and a PA/Music system complete our rig.

We were inspired by the Rolapaluza setup, and felt that roller racing needs a bigger audience.( Rolapaluza doesn’t come south very often, Northern Rollers, Ginnel Whippet and the Keirin Bar are too far north.)
