    three that I forgot yesterday
The Anchor Inn Kippford, beer is great but the food is a little hit or miss – though it is always busy

The Torridon Inn – beer excellent, food excellent, accom excellent, trails amazing.

I am going to lay my balls on the line with this one – I believe that this is one is a best fit for what Houns asked.

The Glenelg inn – beer is good, food is good, accom good – the location outstanding (and no mobile phone signal!) and the local natural trails are pretty good though I need to do some further exploring.

There are no girls even close in the line to succession..
Unless Kate is up the duff and they already know its a girl!

I like the Royals.. they give the UK a sense of comedic value that as a nation we are generally missing.

1992 – Raleigh Activator – Grandma bought me it for Christmas it was too big for me but I had a total riot
1993 – Kona Lavadome frame only (89 or 90) second hand cos it was cheap an ACE
1997 – Giant ATX 970 – had a cracking deal at the bike shop.. heavy but rode up and downhill pretty well.. cept the forks were PANTS
2000(early) – Kona Explosif frame only (’99) second hand. started with P2s then hand a mix of good and crap forks over the next 6 yeras til I broke it – fantastic bike
2000(Later) – Orange Patriot LT – tested a few in diff guises tested a few other bikes .. none seem to match up
2006/7 – Cotic Soul – just wanted one to replace the dead Explosif top bike
2008 – Orange Five – Patriot died – I had been thinking about replacing it and tested a lot of bikes. The Five wasnt going to be as hard hitting as some other bikes but I can really ride it all day everywhere. Put big forks on it with wind down and its truly a ride the world bike.
2008 – Giant Glory – wanted a DH bike and this had a cracking deal. Gets me down most steep gnarly tracks pretty well.
2010 – One one 456 SummerSeason – broke the cotic and wanted a HT – a mate had one going very cheaply in mint condition so I got it. not as good as the Cotic as its heavier and has a ‘deader’ feel – but its a hard hitting ride that got abused all winter!

South Milford is not bad and the pubs are pretty good as well.
Riding locally is Below Average at best – head to ward Garforth and Leeds it improves.
Sherburn up the road has alot more amenities but would prefer Milford.

A shout for Ride Sierra Nevada…
a laid back atmosphere and most certainly not shambolic!

I had a great week with them last year, sean is an excellent guide managing mixed abilities groups easily and also seperating very good rides from teh less experienced on certain days so peoples boundaries are pushed if needed or not as with others.
My pals are back out there now – am gutted I could not afford to go back with them.
    Next year may be!

I used to ride up there back in the 90s before any of the current trails got built.
they were great fun – have heard some top things about the current trails from other people. I must ride that way again soon..

    am glad that its tops.

lack of suspension, steep angles, saddles up, shite brakes…
    and seriously shite tyres…
all added together with a balls out attitude and not much technique..
    makes for some great footage!

The director got it right when he saw that something was broken inside him..
I think it was – he hates himself somewhat for being out living it up as his mate died..he prob wont ever forgive himself for that.

I use an older Camelback HAWG for most rides.
when I havent got it full of kit and water it straps down tight so its not hanging there.

Then on days when you want more kit there is stacks of space.

if you check out ebay you can find em in your price range.

I have a Five.. its great.
am looking to keep it built up in full XC guise
and buy another 5 and keep it in AM guise.. cos am sick of swapping bits to swap between modes …

alternately I could get an Alpine 160 instead.. hmmm..

IMO the Kielder 100 is a poor relation to MTB races.. due to a poor course selection – still its a tough race
but the much shorter Tour de Ben Nevis (a mere 42 miles) is definitely a proper MTB race

The Leadville.. who knows but 100miles sat on an MTB its going to be tough.

The toll costs are high but the Toll roads are brilliant
    and not overbourne with cars!

I really enjoyed driving to and from the south of France.
Then I got back on the UK road network.. and was ready to scream.

I am 6′ and ride an 18″ Five.
normally I have a 50mm stem and it feels great
For XC/enduro racing I like to stretch the cockpit out with a 65mm stem.

For me a 20″ would feel just too ungainly.

My girlf has a 16″ Five and is about 5’8″ and she thinks that is spot on for her..
Test ride both a 16″ and an 18″ to give you an idea. (though you dont often find used Five going second hand.) (the 17″ has just come out so very unlikey to find one of them.)
