    Are they GOOD PEOPLE?

if the answer is yes – it does not matter.

Every time I go to GT I wonder where everyone is. I’m convinced half the people who visit just sit in the cafe and just look at bikes, the trails always seem empty compared to the car park.

I see this as a positive

I think what soulrider means is you’d have cashed out some value and still retained the shares. Only useful, though, if they go up again. Although if they don’t, you’ve at least got some cash.

they ar already back over $70 a share

    AM not reading all that

I agree with the OP.. there are many very good Micro/Mini brewers out there who are being very creative and coming out with some excellent tasting beer.
Porters, Stouts, IPAs, Session ales they are all covered.

I won a case of 18 tins of John Smiths at Christmas(3 years ago).. they are still sat in my garage .. free to a good home..

you know the cynic – this is one for him

Alot of money has been made out of this situation
say I had 1000 shares and flogged them at $75 when this happened
big crash ($5 dollars per share- so not that big really) and then buy them back at $67 – I just made $8000 in a day ..

    just sayin’

That’s failed communism. It’s supposed to work that everyone has the same, and all are prospering with a nice life and the state looks after you. Basically the Federation in Star Trek is communism (no money, everyone works for the betterment of themselves and society, or some such lefty bollox).

Nicaragua had that kinda working (depending on which account of the situation you read) until ‘murica **** yeah decided that 2 lots of commy’s on the doorstep was too much.

    Communism anyone?
No one has anything (except the elite – how does that work??) therefore interest rates and inflation mean nothing.
    and everyone is happy… erm…..

Andy Schleck, Galibier, 2011. 3 monumental rides in 1, Schleck for the audacious attack, Cadel Evans for dragging the rest of the GC riders up after him, Voeckler for hanging on to yellow. You also had Contador and Sammy Sanchez cracking. One hell of a days riding.

This for me was an amazing day of racing – backed by the fact I had ridden Col d’Isoard a month before – at about 7kph average (on the climb) and Schleck was going up it at 14.4kph Frickin’ WOW.. with Galiber to go after that! and he managed to descend pretty well
Plus Cuddles and Tommy V totally burying themselves to reel him in!

Maverick – stubby stem, riser bars and slack head angle – just saying…
Activator – got to love Grandma – I was about 5’10” at the time and she bought me a 23″ bike! I still hammered the thing into the ground.
I lusted for one of these

and a mates Team Raleigh Banana – long before I liked road biking.

Annoyingly I have yet to fathom how to get rid of the Facebook app off my phone (not logged in) Play and Facebook both tell me gleefully when the app has been updated!

frustratingly it seems it is an intrinsic part of the Sony build for my phone.

Otherwise I like, Whatsapp, weather updates (ahem) Strava… the Camera and a few other odds and sods as well as the calling bit (to phone mum)
At home I try leave it alone.. doesnt always work..

80kgs all up and tubed (Historical 8) ) I ran 30ish PSI in the rear without issue and banging the rim.

in these tubeless days and Schwalbe 2.HUGE nobby nics I run low 20s with no rim issues.

technique could be an issue.. 😆

Vegas strip meh.. like Blackpool on steroids.

The mountain biking there on the otherhand is fantastic.

Blue Diamond – Hire a bike and head out (ask Chris for directions)
Head out to the Badger Pass then up to take in 3 mile smile.
On the return you can choose Maverick (fast and flowing singletrack) or Night light – a little more techie.
Bootleg Canyon – masses of trails – ask in the bike shop!

Last day back to Red Rock Canyon – Cowboy trails – really techie rocky fun.

    each night go drinking….

Axkid Minikid ERF (Extended Rear Facing) our 3 and a bit year old is still happily sitting in his and the 19month sits fine in his as well.
We use mirrors to keep an eye on them/ interact with them.
They are expensive – but dont need ISOFIX.

If you do a bit of searching about ERF the vitriol is horrendous.. people saying if you dont do it you are killing your children..
They quote lots of stats (all about head on collisions, they dont talk about sideways and rear end collisions.
I was really well accepted into these online communitys when I told them that their children would be safe if they all stopped crashing their cars head on into other cars/things… ok maybe i wasnt but just saying.
When you actually look at the actual science behind ERF recommendations I do wonder why the heck we are all not rear facing in cars.

Moving onto swivelling the minikids do not swivel but they are easier to get the children into by nature of being rear facing the door allows for it.

One last thing if you have long legs and push your seat far back this seat might not work for you – our Ocatvia and my stupid length legs only just fits the seat.
Paul Stride in York were really helpful fitting a test model so we could be sure it worked for us. (I was hopinh it wouldnt and we could get a new car!!)

HTH (I used to look at shiny new bikes online!)

@svladjelli – yes just spinning the legs if you remotely feel it in your thighs you are pedalling too hard.
That said the Etape du Tour .. not much flat to do this on 😳
but at least you can do it on your training rides.

@thomthumb – said marathon runner has never ridden 200km plus then. not sure about others but I find upto 160/180km do able even at an ok pace (30 to 33kph) without too much strain, beyond that the mental reserves have to kick in.

stop when out biking – I have never heard of such heresy….. 😈

anyway back in the real world ride lots learn to glass pedal, this is as good as resting, stop for pee breaks.
try do a sportive without stopping for cake. (that said unless you have a really good other half, you will probably want to nip into the feed station to top off the water bottles) carry all food you will need with you (or get from other half when they hand you waterbottles.
