For those not in the know..

if there is a footpath local to you and you know the land owner – go and speak to them – with their permission you can then ride on the said footpath – much to the chgrin of the red sock brigade.

I used to do this as a 15 year old living at my mum and dads where there was no BWs just alot of FPs..

mostly the FPs were in and around Farms and Farmland.. and the Farmers had no issues as long as I stuck to them. (which walkers often wouldnt)

I no longer worry about this as I now live in Scotland..
Where any track, trail or path on the ground – you can walk, cycle or horse ride along. However Pavements are covered by the highways act and not the Land Reform act – therefore not permissable for use by cycles.

Get Coil U-turns.. then you can wind em down as low as 115mm if you really want..

and I think they all have the mission control to stiffen em up!

its not too technical as a track but its ROUGH in places..
and you can gather some speed in parts as well.

its rideable on a HT however getting up to speed on an 8" travel glory feels great..and you can really skip over the roughest parts then.

like db100 rode 14 times in 6 hours at the enduro DH – in 08 timed myself 6 minutes.. but I was knackered.. for the enduro averaged 7min30 to 8min per run.

mrBenn… as I read the title of this thread the first thought was Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah

    another one..

Natalie Imruglia's Torn (Considered the original) was originally recorded by some Norweigian bird…

however – I will let Natalie off cos she is better looking and sings better than said Norweigian bird..

I drive the A9 all the time (Inverness to Perth) – thank the lord for Cruise control…

but I know what scottyjohn is talking about.. with the camera's sat just after Dual Carriageways.. has made me very alert to what speed I am doing as the road goes back to single carriageway.
and thank the lord for Cruise control..

its f***ed.. get it back to fishers and get a coil U-turn put in..

I had this happen to me twice (well the first time it failed it stayed out at 160mm the second it stayed at 115mm)

plus the low speed damping stopped working as well with air so they felt rigid until they hit a big bump.

I have now had my forks running sweet after the above 'downgrade' for about a year (with a couple of oil changes in the lowers) and they feel a far better fork!

    once again

I my 5 is set up with Lyriks up front – Coil U-turns that said.. I leave em at 160mm most of the time.. occasionally dropping them to 140mm..

as far as coping with DH trails – I rode Bromont DH course on this bike – not that quick (but that was skill over bike capability) and I regularly ride the DH tracks near me that the local youths have been creating

the bits fall off it.. but the frame is nails..

as far as the BBC goes..

I listen to 6Music and Radio4 – and 5Live Sports Xtra (for the cricket)
on TV – Spooks, Heroes and on the News on a morning (for the lovely Catriona Shearer (Scottish news presenter))
and the occasional nature program worth.

Now they are robbing us of the best music radio channel going dumbass fools.
I should stop paying my License fee. (however I will meekly keep paying it cos I have to to watch all my other ITV and SKY channels)
