    Its called Kimwipe.

Its a Kimberly Clark product and you can get it from most engineering wholesalers as well as cleaning product wholesalers.

Apparently nudging periwinkles is a capital offence.

Its still in the statue books you know, honest.

The only blue snake I’ve ever seen was a Blue Racer out in Michigan. Perhaps one got stuck in the back of a 4×4 built in Detroit and jumped out when the DFL driver parked up in Peaslake to unload his Santa Cruz cake run bike.

Perhaps they could do something similar to this Welsh person who grew tired of aircraft, though with a cycling related name.

Although very unlikely it could be a released pet snake.

Count – Isn’t this thread about illegal 4×4 usage?

Having seen the damage caused by illegal 4×4 usage as well as that caused by mtbers riding footpath I can honest say that the damage caused by MTBers pales into insignificance beside that of 4×4’s. Some studies even believe that mtbers cause less damage than a comparable number of ramblers due to a heavier footfall over a smaller radius from staring point.

Take a bike with you. Thats what I used to do when I went on exercise in Cyprus.

Pop down to Dreamer’s Bay if you get the chance for a bit of snorkling. The Roman harbour down there is a really nice little suntrap.

Bacon and haluomi sandwiches at Lady L’s aren’t to be missed for a morning snack and the Indian restaurant near the Astra Cinema does a cracking curry, oh and the little shop near the Indian sells a small range of bike parts BTW.

Talking of bike parts, make sure you fit nice, tough tyres and tubes because otherwise you’ll be fixing punctures all the bloody time. There is a small seed pod that is found on the ground all over the place in Cyprus that has whacking great big spikes on it and they make mince meat of XC whippet weight tyres and tubes.

ACU eh? I suppose not everyone can be in a decent service cycling club. 😉

BTW, do you know about the shop in the old meat bomb town that offers discounts?

The ghost seems to have disappeared since the chap moved onto days.

BigDummy – For some reason I’ve got an image now hammered into my head of Hora being the guy stuck on the rope during the Iranian Embassy Siege trying to get out the way of flames curing up from some woman’s backside.

Don’t get me wrong, both Cannock and Sherwood can be fun even without a guide but you’ll barely scratch the surface of the singletrack available and struggle to find a flowing route.

Which flat lands are you coming from BTW, Lincolnshire or Norfolk/Suffolk?

Apart from wearing that hideous lycra strip of theirs…

No lycra here (not much speed either).

I thought you’d given up MTBing and just hung around Herne Hill these days.

I’d say the Chase, never been to Sherwood Pines though.

    The quintessential STW post?

“I’d say A although I have no experience of B”.

    Lol

    Both have their good points.

If you like DHing then Stile Cop at Cannock is fun for a bit and sáns guide Follow The Dog is ok though nothing breathtaking, you need a guide to find the best of the rest.

Sherwood Pines is also fun but once again, without a guide you will miss a hell of a lot of good singletrack.

There’s some suspicion that it might have been RAF or army. Both have adventure bases close by…..

Can’t see that to be honest.

The quality of the MTB’s provided at MoD adventure training centres isn’t very high and I don’t believe, unless things have changed dramatically recently, the budget would stretch to decent night lights for 30 odd riders, nor would the very prohibitive procedures in place for allowing adventure training likely allow organised night riding.

Still, its interesting to see the military blamed for something other than murdering babies in Iraq.

Ps, I posted a link to this thread on the RAFCC site to let them know they are having the finger of suspicion waved at them by some Trotskyist.

Fu*ksticks is becoming a bit of a regular in my vocabulary at the mo. Luckily there is a song about it on Youtube.

Depends what the bottle contained beforehand.

Over 50p per unit then it surely deserves something classy.

Less than 50p per unit them something in keeping with the contents.

Its quite strange this place. Folk will pour scorn on riders with bar ends on their risers yet will whip one off the wrist over any weird shaped piece of steering pipe sold by On-One.

I can’t believe you are rolling ovver on Argos being at fault to be honest.

Its not like they are a fly-by-night back street garage that you went to because they were cheap. You sent your frame to the company who consider themselves number 1 for bicycle re-sprays/renovations and they are the company that many big names choose to send their bikes to for special paint jobs etc.

Perhaps if it were a road frame they had left filled with shot and a lovely set of carbon forks they might have been more willing to splash the cash on making good their mistake.

Perhaps motorcyclists should be able to ride without helmets too.

    sootyandjim

Well apparently. according to a few of the more vocal STW bores, wearing a helmet encourages you to take risks.

You don’t drive them, you put one on each foot and skate along on them.
