Who was the female on CF that I called a dried-up lesbian truck driver then?

I’m sure you could get some white material shipped across from France to get some cycling clothes made up from, then you could tie-dye the lot.

    😀

That is, of course, if the French don’t have some national need for white material which inhibits their ability to spare you some.

Aye, ‘RudeBoy’ is the peddler of particularly low-brow ‘controversy’ when compared to the effortless skills of the shrimper.

MrMW – I’m not entirely sure but didn’t I originally mock Cassie as being a dried-up, lesbian truck driver and it kind of spouted from there?

Crikey, if the chopper pilot had lost control and crashed into the crowd he’d have wiped out half of STW.

    I’m actually a little shocked.

Was there a Santa Cruz daisy-chaining session going on in Holmbury? Its just normally you can’t move for spotless Santa Cruz’s and their DFL, cake-eating, up-from-the-car park pushing owners by Leith Hill tower.

    😉

Just don’t do it andywhit, less you want to feel the full wrath of a sootyandjim-orchestrated (apparently) internet hate campaign.

…..he will continue to be blamed for everything and the next guy will pick up the credit when the economy begins to recover……

He (and the rest of the Labour party) were happy to take the plaudits for measures put in place by the Major government which came to fruition during the late 90’s from which this country benefitted.

Leaving aside the beneficial financial groundwork the grey one and his government laid out how often do we hear the utter bilge that it was St Mo of Mowlam who single-handedly sorted out the Northern Ireland problem? Once again, important ground-work was laid on NI long before Mr Blair asked D-ream if he could use their song.

Congratulations Jon and Cass, so much for the old “never getting married again” speech we all got on chocolatefoot a few years back.

    😉

Oh, and I’m sure ‘theprawn’ is weeping his little heart out that some nobber on STW thinks he is a bellend.

    Springy and whippy?

I think Sir should be looking for one of these

If you want something a bit more ‘playful’ then perhaps one of these would be a better bet. I have one built up as a ‘play bike’, its great for hammering the singletrack, can be thrown around with abandon and in all honesty I never have a frown on my face after spending a few hours chucking it about. Its not designed for the long-haul though.

I’m afraid I’m at a loss then. All my maps of that part of the world say “here be dragons” in big letters across those cursed lands.

But Labour supporters are as guilty of the mess we’re currently in for supporting a rose-tinted version of the party they all hate.

Perhaps if the ‘proper’ Labour party members and MPs had made a bit more noise about the shower of sh*te that was/is New Labour and not accepted Tony Blair and his Thatcher-loving mates so readily in a desperate attempt to get some chimps in red ties into Downing Street, no matter what the cost, we might still have a socialist alternative choice and they may actually have been voted into power and have made a real difference.

Instead, the usual idiots who will vote for anything with a red rosette on no matter what the policies, voted in another Conservative party. Although a less honest version, who prefer to wear the costume of a party that once actually gave a flying fu*k about the masses rather than their political donation giving big business mates.

Well it appears the unions have supported the Thatcherite government that has been in power for the last 12 years, the one that has done sweet FA to seriously improve social housing.

Labour, party of the people. My ar*e.

    Thatcherites don’t build social housing.

    Surely some mistake?

Would unions support a Thatcherite government?

How long does it take to build council houses? Less than 12 years by any chance?

Anyway, does this mean I’m going to the gas chambers?

Don’t ask me, thats the kind of question you’ll have to ask a right-winger for a response to.

    I had some Tartiflette earlier.

I’m drinking some Black Sheep ‘Riggwelter’ at the mo.

I’m currently watching highlights from the previous 6 games of this year’s Stanley Cup final and am looking forward to the final game tonight.

…………….with the “no such thing as society”….

Don’t quote it in context Teej, it might not suit your slightly biased opinion otherwise.

“I think we’ve been through a period where too many people have been given to understand that if they have a problem, it’s the government’s job to cope with it. ‘I have a problem, I’ll get a grant.’ ‘I’m homeless, the government must house me.’ They’re casting their problem on society. And, you know, there is no such thing as society. There are individual men and women, and there are families. And no government can do anything except through people, and people must look to themselves first. It’s our duty to look after ourselves and then, also to look after our neighbour. People have got the entitlements too much in mind, without the obligations. There’s no such thing as entitlement, unless someone has first met an obligation.”

Adam@Homers – Bit of a price difference between a Blackspire Stinger and an E13 SRS or LG1. Bit of a difference in the actual make-up of them as chain devices, what with the Stinger being a simple (and relatively light) roller and the E13/LG1 being a comparatively heavy and more complex device.

Not really helpful advice on the whole.

Would removing a couple of chain links improve matters?

I presumed you had done that already!

There’s your problem, 32 tooth ring.

The Stinger is falling about laughing at such a girly gearing and is knocking your chain off in the process.

    😉

Honestly, try a slightly bigger ring, Blackspire Stingers (in my experience) work best with a 36ish toothed ring on the front (its what I run with mine).

What chips are they ? Be more specific.

So you’d consider the behaviour of someone who would revel in the death/thought of the death of a fellow human being as that of someone without a grudge of some kind?

Lol. You’ve obviously not seen what I ride/wear to ride recently.

I seem to be regressing from tip-toeing around the edges of the gnarly huckmeister scene back to the full on jey boy scene from which I began my journey. I even have a couple of singlespeeds myself.

Luckily my fitness/physique has improved to the level were the lycra tops I’m wearing again these days don’t make me look like the Michelin man.

Those hats are still KI’s though.

Interesting you say that the guy in Game was telling me the 360 platform is being replaced in about 2 years!

Would that be the guy in Game who was trying to sell you a more expensive alternative which they have stacks of as they aren’t selling as well as the cheaper Xbox 360?

I own both a PS3 and an Xbox 360. I use my PC most for gaming, then my Xbox 360 and am thinking of selling my PS3 as I rarely use it now days other than to watch Blu Ray films.

footstomper – Did I mention there being no singletrack in the north?

    1/10, see me after class.

    sootyandjim

Its not the height, its the quality.

Although I live in the midlands I’ve ridden all over the country and regretfully (as I no longer live there) admit that the North Downs has some of the finest riding in the entire country, if you enjoy singletrack that is.

Of course some northerners avoid singletrack like the plague and stick to bridleways that pass over barren hilltops, considering this ‘real’ mountain biking purely due to the height involved. Little skill is required for such riding, just an ability to switch brain to stand-by.

Seriously? I’ve driven from London to Brighton and I honestly don’t remember any hills at all.

    Was it at night?

You were probably too distracted by the wonder that is electric-powered street lighting to spot the two large ranges of hills you drove over, including driving up the side of Ditching Beacon (886ft) just before the final descent into Brighton.

Why did you go to Brighton anyway? Bored of the public loos in the North?

Indeed. My wife took Psychology with German and it was the ‘with German’ part (and the fact she can teach Enhlish as a foreign language as well) that enabled her to jump the queue to do her PGCE.

She rarely teaches German but when she does its done during one of her free periods and as a consequence she is paid extra on top of her normal wages for each lesson of German she covers.
