I went to the doctors and they sent me in the right direction to talk to somebody.

    Sounds like British Gas!
They did not bill me, I chased them up with no joy. They then sent a company for the money. I had no warning letters or a bill. Finally sorted it by quoting when and who I had spoken to about it from the beginning.
    The tinkers!!

    Now with Ebico.

You get flat washers and delta washers. Sometimes it is best/easiest to change the tap. Most customers think it is a money making thing, but they don’t make taps like they used to.

The dunsley highlander solo 7 is a cracking stove. Easy to fit, and the riddle grate bars and baffles plates are not overpriced as spares, and are easily available. I have fit lots of dunsleys they are brilliant stove with either wood or solid fuel. I used to run mine on anthracite only and it would stay in 24hrs a day just ticking over.

Yes you should always make the stove work a little to avoid sooting up. Soot is in burnt fuel.

The ones I used a few years back liked to be pushed to the outer knobbles. If you didn’t then they would throw you off!

I am 41 and I have given up drinking a few times in the past, but always fall back into drinking again. I am not a heavy drinker by any means but always want one after work.
I have just started long term medication and have been considering stopping again, as common sense says medication and alcohol don’t mix.
Other posters on here have been honest, and I have taken some inspiration from it to stop again and maybe in the future enjoy different types of alcohol instead of it becoming the norm!
In soops style I need to set a date to stop. Mrs soops says just stop but we all have our weird and wonderful ways of doing things, and I need a starting to do it date.
Its nice to see people who have given up years ago giving support to the rest of us. Cheers!

A chap I work with has got a place as flight crew on the Canadian plane at the end of this month. Cost him a fortune and he can’t stop grinning! Lucky bugger getting to go up on one.

Debenhams do a wool mix machine washable suit. The trousers are £45 and jacket £65. £99 if bought together. The Thomas Nash shirts are OK as well.

I live in Luddenden and leave home at 7.30 and it takes me 40mins to get to bradford centre. It is horrific for traffic. Don’t forget to get uninsured driver cover on your car insurance as nobody in Bradford knows what junctions/red lights are!!

I have a HTC one m8 and love it. I had Samsung’s before and cannot fault it yet. Just trying to get out of the Samsung habit of the back button being on the opposite side!

Tron – 4g on EE has better coverage than 3g T-Mobile. They admitted to me that they spend more on 4g infrastructure as it is going to be the standard. I get a signal at my house where I never did on T-Mobile.

I have a HTC m8 on EE. Fantastic phone, network better than T-Mobile. I am adding the wife to it in June as they do shared plans and seeing as unlimited minutes, texts and 5gb will do us both it will work out at £28 a month each on 4g.

    I am back out riding!

I can’t believe that i put up with the pain for so long. I still have ankle pain but that is nothing compared with what it was.

For those of you with pins and plates and a nagging pain, i can say it was worth it for me having them out.

    Cheers All!

An update on Mrs soops ticket. Told her about the thread on here and she said another letter came through from a debt recovery company asking for £265.
After explaining we had moved just about the same time as the offence and not had the letters they said we still had to pay. So she went to Asda and spoke to the manager and he wrote a letter to the debt company and it is now all sorted.

Just had my Soul powder coated in red sparkle.

Pics will follow when it is built.

If anybody living in the Calder Valley needs a frame powder coating then Chris at Pennine Powder Coating is a good chap. He is half way between Hebden Bridge and Todmorden.

So its been just over a week since the stitches came out and I am walking OK and back at work.

The surgeon told me that the plate had been catching/rubbing in 2 places. I can’t believe the difference in not having all that metal work in. 10 bloody years I have been putting up with this nagging pain and now its gone.

I know that I will still have some pain in the joint but I can put up with that.

Just looking forward to getting out on the bike again and hopefully being able to do some hill walking in the lakes again after 11 years of not being able to!

    Cheers!

grum – the cars were in the car park when I arrived at 11.50am and I left at 2pm as they were putting the bikes in the cars. Definately no money spent in the pub!

GLad to hear it is not just me who thinks its rude not to call into the pub after a ride.

Just so you all know, the Hincliffe arms up Cragg road, the cat ith well near wainstalls, The Lord Nelson in Luddenden and the Shoulder of Mutton in mytholmroyd are all wet mountain biker friendly.

Breadcrumb – they had already been biking.

We use different pubs around the Calder valley and I would never not go in one after a ride having parked in the car park.

I have an art Deco French stove. It runs on welsh anthracite.
It is in 24hrs a day 7 days a week in winter. Costs about £12 in fuel a week to run.
It only cost £40 to buy it as well.
My gas and electric bill for a 2 bed house for the quarter over christmas was £163 for both.
