We have had a change of plan now gonna ride the blue trail and then go up the road to Cwm Rhaedr.

    @chrispo
and other locals when riding the blue trail is it easy enough for me to ride some black and not leave the misses for to long, or is the blue just as good as the black bits?
Also how is the snow up there at the mo?

Why do you need a bash?
The chain stays on the outer ring ok on a triple.
Lock the mech remove outer and granny rings then shifter.
    Job done ( free )

Staying at Afan Lodge for half price so using that as a base.
we road Nant in November and come to think of it she road ClimachX which I thought pretty gnarrrr. so may have a rethink.
But the plan so far is
    friday will be Whites,
Saturday will be the main days riding at Brechfa so Red trail first because its longer followed buy the blue trail
then Sunday W2 or just the Wall.
heres hoping next weekend will be crisp winter sunny days 🙂

    Cheers guys
So is there an easy way to link the red and blue trails

I think the problem for her with CwmCarn is that the vast majority of the trail is not smooth and requires more advanced skills in moving body weight and the bike about.
Hitting roots and rocks uphill and gully drops are not her cuppa.

I went for the M510 in the end but if it won’t fit/work with a 26t on m770’s I’ll send it back.
Looks a bit chunkier than the M532

loco so how do I make sure the damper is drained?

I changed my seals today on my 150mm RL’s for the new sks ones and while I was there I thought i would change the oil in the lowers.
So all going well drained the oil, cleaned up, fox fluid the new rings, refit lowers top up oil to recommended 165ml damper side 30ml spring side
    🙂
Could not stop the Damper rod from spinning when doing up the nut on the bottom of the leg. grrrrrrrrr
So take the legs off again so that I can grip the Damper rod and thread the nut.
To my horror when I removed the leg for the second time oil went everywhere grrrrrrrr again.
I was draining the oil for 10 minutes first time, so my question is 165ml not correct?
and what happens if you have to much oil in the legs?
some advice would be great thanks

I don’t think you have to touch the top of the fork to replace/service the seals.

    I might be wrong.

If you learn to ride in cleats/SPD’s and have reasonable skills you can ride them with the same freedom as flats.(almost)
I have rode Downhill tracks uplift days and never have a problem taking a foot off and then almost instantly clipping back in.
Uphill techy sections are also easier to ride with spd’s
