It’s a stupid idea! Up for uphill and down for down.
With a fixed post you have to find a happy medium so you can still pedal and get behind the seat.
you can have your saddle 2/3 inch’s higher with a dropper,
you cannot ride a steep/tech switchback with the seat up your ass.
    Fact ask Jedi.

Nailed it first go 🙂 well happy with that.
Not sure if I was going the right way but it turned to the left.
Hit the roots on the left close to the tree, go in quite fast with seat down, raise seat and push through.
    Simples! or I got lucky.
    Thanks for pointing it out.

Thanks guys I forgot to add.
We have decided guided rides would be better to get the best out of the trip.
Im confident I can ride 90% of terrain apart from huck gaps/drops.
My misses is good for most Uk trail centre stuff.

Is it possible to go up the Wal then across folys link to the top of White’s climb without doing the enery level.
Energy is never worth the following climb after doing whites and the wal climb.
Thinkng short cut to the skyline decent.

Hoping to ride up Whites then across to the Wal decents.
Then either Railwayman Inn or W2.

So it looks like Penmachno if dry (both loops) or CYB if wet.
What trail at CYB has the most flow/pump (like the Wal at Afan) not to bothered about massive berms and tables.
    Good for 15/20 miles

    Bring on the flaming.:)
I liked the 456 tho. So much so I’ve got a frame for winter to swap the parts from my Pitch.

^ sounds great if your a local.
But with girlfriend so exploring is a no no.
Has to be way marked with a start and stop distance.
Am thinking Pen or Marin if Dry or a trail centre in the wet.

Vr50 transition are the best lenses for MTB. You can safely go from bright sun to thick wood/forest without having to touch the brakes.
    They are Great.

Justgoride.co.uk has a good route maker.
Just drop Dots to make a bread crumb trail on the OS map save as a GPX file then navigate it.

Not sure if this is right but it kinda works.
Save the GPX file to your desktop then drap to the GPX folder in the Garmin.

Menu > saved rides > pick you ride/GPX > Navigate.

Getting an 800 soon so hopefully will be similar because that took 2 years to sue out.

This was our second ride on the Mendips and It was ok today 🙂 started at the Swan Inn then rode to the beacon ( lots of cheeky singletrack crossing the fire road)
Then a few downhill rocky sections followed by a grass roll to the bike shop in barrington.
After that it was slip and slide on the lower sections back to the pub.
Great food and a few Ashton 🙂 happy days

Don’t park at AC or Leigh woods and take a route that a car cannot go down.
The trails are not that big so a mile cool down ride on the road won’t hurt.
