It’s really comfortable, you forget it’s there, and it hides away under a jersey.
Durability wise I used mine right through winter, washed it and it’s as good as new. I wouldn’t say it’s totally waterproof, things get a little damp when it’s really grim, I just put my stuff in a carrier bag first.

Specialized swat bibs are great too.

Ditched my pack and went with a lowe alpine fjell, £25ish. Great piece of kit can fit tools, food and a jacket in no problem. There’s a built in key fob clip and a separate zipped pocket inside for cash

If it’s a chippy tea you’re after you won’t go wrong at Jack’s Chip Shop. It’s on hilderthorpe road near town centre. Sit down or takeaway. Make sure you try the chip spice as well.

Another nano user here. They’re cheap and stick like **** to your shoes. Bontrager line pro are smart as well, although twice price of nanos

Onza that airdrop looks like a great bit of kit, think it’ll be a bit small for me though.

2 year warranty on the transition is a bit of a concern

If you go to low dalby carpark on a Tuesday night there’s loads of folk down there, most other nights it’s very quiet. The forest drive is always open, despite the sign saying it closes at 2000. Forestry commission are currently putting Anpr cameras up so you may have to pay for parking in near future.

+1 for moonglu in Ripon, I’ve had 2 great sets of wheels from them.

Also try Dylan Thomas in Franklin’s yard off fossgate in York.

Got one on the scrappage scheme 5 years ago. No major problems with it. Although the radio reception is pretty shocking, just listen to CDs instead. Cheap to run.

Just changed mine to 1*11 using slx cranks. Removed large ring and replaced it with a 32t narrow wide. I left the granny ring on. Works really well

I use jubilee clip tightened onto steerer tube as a guide then nice and steady with hacksaw. Usually lay forks on a towel on bench to prevent marks

Killed 2 giant dropper posts so far. Replaced the last one with a Thomson elite, that disappeared back to Thomson under warranty 6 weeks ago.
Anyone had any experience with Thomson warranty claim, how long until it comes back.

They size up small though. I’m a 34 waist but I went for 38’s xlarge. Just measured the inseem of the outers 38cm.
Are they on offer somewhere? Wouldn’t mind a second pair myself

Atlas shorts with swat bibs great bit of kit work well with knee pads. Spare water bottle sits comfortably in rear middle pocket pump and food in other back pockets. Got 2 small zipped pockets on front ideal for car keys and cash. Length wise theyre just a tad bit shorter than endura 3/4s.

+1 for moonglu in Ripon. I’ve had a set of flow ex and arch ex from them, both on pro2 hubs. Still running true after 2 years of hammer.

I’ve just switched from humvees to specialized atlas shorts, they’re a lot lighter. They come with the swat liner as well, so you can go all enduro and ditch your pack.

Thanks rickon. Never thought about spacers, I run with a full set of spacers so plenty of scope for adjustment.

How about a trek farley 5. 4.8 tyres sets up tubeless dead easy. Will take a bluto fork, though you’d need to change the front hub. Think mine came in at less than a grand.

Try neil at Moonglu in Ripon, great guy. I’ve had 2sets of wheels from him, set of flow exs and arch ex all on hope hubs. Both sets still going strong.

I’m running a set of Stan’s flow ex on hope pro evo2 hubs on my 27.5 trance. Great set of wheels, taken some hammer for 2 years and still running true. Setup tubeless dead easily.

Got mine from Moonglu in ripon. Neil’s a top bloke, worth giving him a call

Was up there 2 weeks ago.The Cleveland way section along side the view is in a right mess as is the last field before paradise farm. I couldn’t ride it on the fatty. All that rain we had yesterday wont help.

Once you get onto the moorland road between paradise farm and square corner its a lot better.
