Thank goodness he’s neutered! Lovely bit of responsible pet ownership there! …. *like*
I would have to hazard a guess at a new ‘guy’ in town that he feels threatened by. Sounds a bit weird but if there’s a new cat in town that’s bigger/better etc, he’s still going to have to look after what he’s got, or rather, what he used to have!!
He needs to feel secure at the moment…. Have a look at your garden for starters. If you can, then rig up some artificial elevated platforms for him. This helps him feel like he can see the ‘whole’ area without disruption.
Then make his own home secure…. Cat flap or not, make sure access/exit points have ‘roomy’ bits so no-one has to cross paths too close.
It sounds like he’s urinating to make ‘ his’ area smell of ‘him’…. Another reassuring reaction! Hopefully you won’t need to but Feliway would may be of help here to in the near future????

@ Drac- that was the ‘other’ one just in case the actual new gf didn’t work out!! 😆

I lurve the shirt! I’m with you on the theory about a wacky shirt…. Us girls love em (or at least I do), shows you’re confident enough to wear ….a more…..’daring’ option of clothing…. 😉

@Chewkw…. You are going to be fine! Please don’t worry, she’s gonna love you!! Just enjoy it.

On the way now. Looking forward to it a lot. However, seeing as we met last Saturday and she left on Monday morning as I was being picked up to hit Welsh super-trails any traditional first date nerves don’t really apply

Lordy lord! You ARE in for a good un! Have fun 😉

I thought this was a ‘donate’ thing. I have a seat clamp you can have…. I’ve no idea what size/spec it is but you can have it if it helps! Feel a bit silly offering but thought better to offer and get ridiculed, than not offer at all!!
Good luck with your build x

I got some amazing shorts from start cycles recently and they actually fit!!! (I’m a bit plump at the moment) so I can’t wait to try them out and about! Problem is, every time I buy myself something, something goes expensively wrong! Car today with required clutch replacement…
    New shorts : £9.99
    Car clutch: £369

Still…. Was very exciting getting that little parcel through the post for sure!!

E: gluten free fish cakes (surprisingly tasty!)
D: a generic, cheap Italian barbera
L: the lovely water ripples in the fish tank next to me….. Waaaaay better than tv or music after the week I’ve had!

    1. I might think it is a date but she might consider a friendly chat? No?
    2. Problem is I don’t have a clue at all so far …

Am I allowed to say… Just go have fun!! She’s just over 20 ffs, I’d be wanting a right laugh at her age! Have no expectations and the night will roll on beautifully. You’ve got nothing to prove, she likes you already – proven by ‘a date!’ Enjoy it for what it is and let whatever happens happen….

    Ps; I also want photos… 😉

Do not burst them! They are a natural body bandage that needs time to do the job. If you want to help then just put a compeed patch over the top & keep things clean & dry….
I hope you have happy feet again soon…. 🙂

Llandegla for me but purely because I found it more ‘fun’ ! I’m probably not as rad and gnar as you lot though! 😆
I also found it a bit more natural I think but sometimes that really depends on mood etc…
Have fun wherever you go btw!!!

Andy! The shop looks amaaaazing! I’m so so pleased for you and we really will pop in as soon as possible to have a look around!
I’ll never forget you telling me when I started to ride….” Trust your bike, it can do more than you think it can!”…. I’ve never forgotten that & I’m sure you’ll teach more like me – it gave me a Huuuge amount of confidence!
I wish you all the best…. You deserve to go far in my book 😀

Started at Stavely with drizzle, out to Kentmere and back with rain, wind and chill! Was absolutely brilliant! Even got a lovely piece of gluten free chocolate, orange and walnut cake in Wilfs cafe afterwards…. That too made my tummy giggle 🙂

Yes! They are (in my eyes) brilliant!
*sounds like a moany old woman* …. Arthritis in hips- bouts of pain reduced by MONTHS post treatment. Aggrevated lumbar disc settled after 4-6 weeks of treatment. Pretty good time frames I rekon compared to others with similar complications with their lower back. And very recent shoulder injury….couldn’t really drive 6 weeks ago but I’m riding bikes again now 🙂
As Onzadog has said though- go by word of mouth… A good one IS REAL good!!!

What muppets wrangler said is largely true there is some evidence that vitamin c can aid in scar reduction too. That’s in an oil/gel not orally.

Girls do you secretly go riding in the afternoons, when you should be practicing the science of batter making for the perfect Yorkshire pud.
Ways of ‘spending a penny’ (surely this will be £3.20 by now) while out on the moors, no bush in sight and riding along with 18 hairy, male mtbers.
Stop pretending you’re slower on the trails than your male riding buddies, it’s time to show them how to ride.

Stop thinking of your ‘second’ paragraph and concentrate on your first! You’re going to be fine!!!!! Deep breaths when you need time to think and take your time… You can answer any question they throw at you I’m sure. Arrive in plenty time and physically smile whether you feel like you want to or not…. I’ve no idea why but it helps me!
    Good luck!!

I suffer now and then with an aggravated disc in my lower back due to general wear and tear over the years ( I have a very physical job) – I walk like Quasimodo too when it goes! The pain is almost unbearable….
I’m very very lucky that my BIL is an osteopath so I get treated by him once or twice a week until it settles……..this is usually for at least 3 weeks till I can even consider getting on the bike. Let alone any thinking of what type if riding!
All I can suggest (as I know how crud you’re feeling just now not being able to do anything) is to see someone ASAP! The sooner you know what you need to do to heal quicker… You’ll heal quicker! I would definately reccommend an osteopath but that’s only because it has worked for me many times & I can afford it as it’s free.
I really hope you get better soon x

What a wonderful thread. So ace to see everyone’s different lives. It’s so sad when it doesn’t work and even after so many years of trying so hard! But as some have said…. It’s been the right thing to happen even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time! Because things happen when you least expect it you know!…
I’m nearly 40…. I never thought it would happen to me. But it did! He is the most amazing person I’ve ever met! We don’t argue much & when we do it’s always sorted before going to sleep. I find it easy to compromise with him because it’s clear he’s compromising with me!…. I feel equal with him and that’s real important. I love the way he has an opinion!
I’ve never felt so complete in all my life. I couldn’t be happier! I believe it all to be down to ‘brutal’ honesty, genuine communication, good compromise and STRICT rule of not going to bed unhappy. Talking is always good…
Ps; he makes my bike feel brilliant, look good & stay clean THEREFORE he’s a keeper !! 😉
