First time for me and to be honest I really enjoyed it. Stage 1 and 2 scared me a bit and I did have to get off and walk one or two of the drops/really steep rocky sections.
For the number of riders I have to say I didn’t come across anyone that seemed frustrated or peeved with me ‘being in the way’. And I suspect that I WAS in the way now and then!(sorry to you all)
Personal preference as has been stated is to shout “on your left/right!”….instead of “rider!”- much easier for me to help people get passed without too much distraction.
Out of interest – although I don’t think I’m going to do it again next year, does anyone have any experience of similar enduros that are maybe a little less ‘technical’? I loved the social aspect of it and the competition- really well organised event in my VERY limited experience!

Oh nicknack!!!! This is just ideal! I’m only going cos I’m still very new and totally trust everyone is so engrossed in finding out about one another they forget about how your riding! It is such a good idea for new riders please come along!….

May I say first of all… You’re very lucky! What a lovely looking house!
I’ve had a look and of course a lot of this is personal preference but here goes…. The style(if safety is not a huge issue) I’d go for half moon and mid or top lites and mid…. These styles would fit well with window shapes already there.
I’d definately go green! I think blue is too cold a look for such a warm looking property and reds can argue with one another (your red brick for example).
For glass, if you go that way, I love the look of either prairie, royals or Venetia in green.

I’m very very very tempted! I love the riding there but I’m not the best it has to be said…. I need a buddy to come along with me to feel confident enough to come along. I’ll keep you posted for sure! But it’s definitely pencilled in 🙂
Ps; if I come along… I need a lot of laughing and chocolate and cake and ogling at male mountainbikers and a set time for lunch (food is very important to me!) and time to compliment one another’s beautiful bikes ( mines a bit poop but you must compliment anyhow!) So…. There’s a ‘rant!’ 😆

I’ve recently bought some shorts and tops from start cycles…. Although I’m not the most experienced in the choices that are available out there, the bits I got seem to be of very very good quality for the money! £10 for Scott shorts with separate liners…. But even better is that they are all different colours! For my price range (I’m not the richest) you usually get yellow, black or pink. That’s it!! So to come away with some nice aqua shorts and a nice chocolate top for my sister I’ve felt very girly! Definately worth a look IMO! Good luck! 🙂
