Stayed in the valley a few years back and it was perfect for walks from the door. The Langdales club is classy as well, compared to my local swimming baths anyhow!

72 miles in 4 hours is a fairly slow pace for someone who races.

18mph average for 4 hours at 5am is pretty good going!

The trails will be wet with some icy sections (locals on here can confirm this), mostly rocky with a few loose patches. Great views from the top of the “climb”.

It’s short, less than one hour round even for average riders. So multiple laps is a must.

Facilities are pretty poor to be honest, even though im sure someone on here will disagree.

I would drive the 1 hour up the road and ride Afan, that’s just me though. It’s definatly worth a visit if you’ve never been before.

There are no showers though and the cafe is a bit expencive, so take your own grub.
