yes ten years ago in Sept. great day. we did it on Skye as it our fav place. or was before the tour bus arrived. just us and our camper van

pedal cover here. although this years renewal jumped up a fair bit so might shop around next year

sooty and jim, my forum name is about 15 years old i reckon( there was a US branded bike i lusted after at the time ). still only around 70kg which isnt bad for my age height :-)

Just think how much better trips to the Golfie would feel though if you suffered on the climbs and only did half the amount of descending.
Your arms and upper body wouldn’t ache half as much if you cut down on the number of descents you did in a day.😉

I live about 7 miles from rutland water, but unfortunately i dont have any matching characteristics with your generalizations about people that own an ebike, except i own an ebike and enjoy riding that along with the other bikes i own . not sure if 20 plus years of riding them makes me seasoned or not. i am plenty fit enough not to use an ebike but i have made a conscious decision to enjoy my life as i see fit and not let others decide for me

Hi Martin . i went for a levo and love it. i didnt buy it for riding locally but since buying it i have been doing extra rides close to home because its so much fun

Smoke, Mirrors, and the Runaround

Sick Cycles seem to have gone and provided a textbook example of how to be good at the internet and bad at a job. With a lot of hype around their new frames, many customers prepaid money only to be met with excuses for why their frames never showed up. Pinkbike, along with other media sites gave the owners a chance to explain what was happening after threads in forums discussing the issue turned angry, but the interview seems to have merely been filled with sob stories, excuses, and empty promises after their manufacturer of the frames stated a couple of weeks later they still had not been paid for the frames by Sick and would be selling them off.

Maybe it’s not these guys’ full-time job to make bikes and they haven’t been able to dedicate the appropriate time to it, maybe they messed up and really do want to fix things, or maybe they’re just full of it… One way or another, the damage is done, and Sick Cycles have a long hard road ahead of them if they ever hope to restore their tarnished reputation.

i went for 6 days a few years ago, also had a day in Kiev when the riots were happening. most surreal week of my life.
pripyat and chernobyl where amazing to see and I highly recommend it if you have an interest in it at all. one of our guides was actually at work on reactor 1 when 4 exploded and a couple of his close friends are among the 30 or so people that are remembered for having given their lives in the immediate aftermath. we even visited the flat that he lived in with his young family before the incident.
watching the tv series has made me feel quite strange at times. some of the best tv i have seen
