Being an MTB’r with 780mm bars when I gt my first road bike this summer a Defy carbon Advanced, I instantly wanted wider bars than the 42 that came on it. Afte rriding it properly for a few months, I realised my LBS were right and that proportionally, 42’s were bang on. Decent tyres make a huge difference as well to speeds and effort.

same with mine last week, got the kit to bleed it and checked the air first, less than 30 psi. seat only returns 3/4’s and you have to pull it up then. put 250 psi in and its fine now, too stiff if anything.

Yesterday I rode in on Hans Dampfs, 2.3, tubeless low pressure, perfect. Today Contis 120psi… brown pants. Even the main roads A34 had ice half a metre from the kerbs. 😯

Normal, but as you get older and they disappear into bedrooms and Call of duty, you sometimes wish you could have that time back.

MTB’r at heart, but after a lousy Summer, invested in a roadbike and have enjoyed it. Commute proper now on the roadbike and do long rides at weekends occasionally, its all cycling in my mind. Found some reet good pubs out in the sticks as well 😀

Home share I think. to be honest, I just set up separate log in user accounts on the PC, then everyone has their own itunes when they connect their ipod/touch/ipad etc. they can all pull music from my itunes library via homeshare or folder/file import.

I only started on the road this summer and spent 3 months on XTR trail pedals and my MTB SPD shoes. However, my LBS gave me some proper Ultegra SPD s and I paired them with some super stiff carbon road shoes, difference is significant. Not regretted doing it ‘properly’.
