Scruff is a doctor or sumfink at Stafford hospital. The surgeon who did my hernia last year and caused me to miss the entire summer and be off work for 8 weeks with infections and follow up operations is based there too. Scruff said the canteen is pretty good there though

when ss bikes first started to appear, I thought they were for poor folk or studenty types with no cash. I’ve since realised they are for exhibitionists.

Ive been handed a few sets of the multicompound ones by my LBS to try in place of the usual XTR pads I use. They come in at 19 quid a set and first impressions are very good….

Dont blame me….I merely pointed out a track and we all agreed to follow it. We now all know that a lot of the boardwalk on the NFT IS PRETTY NECESSARY. The stuff up around Iron Keld/Oxen etc was good, nice link up route.

Sat at 2.45pm at the very top of Walna in ridiculous gusts of minus whatever wind in stinging sleet/hail….now who’se idea was that…

I know Paul Swinnerton demo’d one a while back at GT, HE RATED IT VERY HIGHLY, he normally rides a Remedy 9.
I rode the HiFi Pro last year and have to say it was pretty impressive, Mr Fisher does seem to have his angles worked out….just needs someone to sort the graphics…..

I guess if you are a builder developing trails, the last thing you want is a busy forum pinpointing where you are currently developing trails..

I still think Llandegla is the best anyway

I love the way the STW wannabe’s feel the need to to show venom and vibes to anything remotely mainstream or successful . It’s almost like the anti everything crew…..punk almost.. I sometimes think some of the guys on here could argue with themselves in the mirror… before venting their frustrations on the keyboard…makes me smile. U2 love em or hate em are a world wide success story.

Quite a big fan here too having been to Germany and Belgium to see em live. I think they’ve had a good day with the BBC, and they’re on Wossy in a bit. My Ipods been playing real early stuff since I heard ‘Boots’ and rekindles my faith in U2.

The pricetags betweent the 4 led torch and 1 led torch are interchangable, the till staff dont know any different, as most are foreign.

    from Scruff.

Correct, most of the torches are from China and Konk konk

Yup, some call it shoplifting, I prefer to think along the lines of market driven pricing, ie, the customer ultimately dictates the price. I think 73 patches for 1.99 is about right.

You used to be able to peel the labels off meat as well, nice big rump steak with a streaky baon sticker…… 😯

I quite often open em up in the shop and fill one with loads of patches. £1.99 for 73 patches aint too bad….

Personally, I believe LA is a fine sportsman. He has taken on an overcome some huge challenges, as an athlete and a man. You cant knock him for what he has achieved in a somewhat dubious sport. He did it all and has come back to do it again-knowing exactly what is in front of him-and what people would level at hi-Kimmage included. I take my hat off to him, he is almost in a no win situation…..but I wouldn’t wager on him not winning the tour.
