Used panniers for a while, but gone back to a 25litre Vaude. Drive in on Friday and take shirts etc in for the following week, easy.

If you are that worried about your frame, be creative on your next ride and ensure the front triangle needs replacing under warranty. Then, buy some patches and look after it this time…. 😀

that guy in stone who wears something resembling a monks outfit also happens to have mac pro in his leather satchel. i was at nat west cashpoint last week and he was shouting at the conker tree in the square, quite odd really, but visually amusing. He started muttering at me as he walked past, weirdo, I must be like a weirdo magnet, what with the biatch on the canal last week. No wonder they call Stone a 'Canal Town', I'd get rid of the sea personally. weirdos on mushrooms etc…

Heat wise its great, I use a footprint which adds insulation as well as keeping the tent clean and I also have the carpet which is ace, even though our camping buddies laughed at first.

I've been lucky as my mate has his own independant camping/outdoor shop so I've had the opportunity to try loads of 'demo tents' so to speak.

This is by far the best tent I've had, the extra porch canopy is ideal if the weathers not to good and theres acres of room inside. Stability wise, this is the most rigid tent we have had, the gales in Northern France in August were incredible, and I was a little worried, but the tent was fine.

I would recommend the footprint and carpet no question, and now is a good time to buy tents!

here's my Monty 6, great tent, really pleased with it having had a Diablo 900-too big and faffy, a 600 which was OK, bit gloomy and not as roomy as it appeared, this is a great tent.

I had the same dilema a few months back, the price was'nt so much an issue, but the 9 was specced better in a few places. I went for the 9 and stuck some king wheels and bits on and some new revs, in fact, come to think, I put new forks, wheels BB, headset, bars, stem, brakes, saddle seatpost, shifters and cranks……hmmm yeah, I got the frame and rear mech I wanted and added the other bits….. 😯
