I put a Gamut on my Remedy, great bit of kit that just works. Never lost my chain even on proper rooty rocky descents while trying to pedal.

I hit a cyclist once on a bend, car I was in skidded went into a spin and I hit him hard. I managed to go half through the side window when i hit the kerb, he ended up 30 yards away in a hedge. His little lad with him (who I missed)was screaming I’d killed his dad. Not a nice experience at all and his bike somehow was wedged under the car(my dads new SRi). Luckily, the guy recovered (he worked with my mum) but he did have a broken leg, pelvis, arm etc, was off work for a year. I was lucky with lots of stitches, a valuable lesson and a bill for the ambulance. My old fella’s insurance also went up a bit I seem to remember. 1985, not my best year..

finish at 4.45, 30 min ride home, scrambled eggs(4) and a tin of beans, pint of orange juice, shower and ride 7.30 til 10 ish….

Dont overtighten bolts, a little nip usually suffices.

Some of those Japs are very strong and could easily over tighten a bolt. I bet Bruce Lee in his day had ultra strong fingers and could do bolts up really tight, maybe too tight!

My Soda cracked in the end, shame as it was one of the best bikes I’ve had (and I’ve had a few), replaced it with an Evil Sov as there were no Soda’S due for several months. Sold that after a year and have now got a BFe and am right at home on it!!!!

medium XO on a 2×9 set up here, 11-34 cassette and a 32 big ring, works fine on my Remedy. Similar set up on the hardtail but XTR and 11-32 thats fine as well. I do also swap the wheels about and it all works fine.

Remedy 9.9 was available as a frameset last year and I reckon this year they will have the top end frames as frame only on carbon frames for sure. I don’t recall them saying anything about a carbon slash though.
My 3 month old 9.7 will be for sale shortly as a frame or full bike 🙂

New BFe, gritstone now has mechs and brakes fitted, BB, headset and rear wheel and cranks but I forgot I sold the forks off the Evil….and the salsa seatclamp is also too small so it aint gonna be ready for a while.
