I had a spin at Cannock with him over the festive period and he was a little down, worried about his sack or something. he’s travelling all the time though and rarely knows what day it is. he thought it was easter as well.

We were there for a few days before Christmas. Carp ark was small, the lower one was shut and I think they were selling trees on the old hub one. Coffee was good, cake was good and toliets spotless. Dint take a dump, but the cafe toliets smelled lovely. plenty of space to lock your bike at the cafe and big panormic windows so you could gaze at it if you wanted too.

Trails weren’t bad either (if that counts) 😯

Ive just got the 2012 ‘9’, had a few of them, great bikes for all day stuff, climb exceptionally well, good weight etc and top kit on them, with a reverb mine still comes in under 30lbs. 😀

My LBS are doing them for £140 with all of the mounts, helmet/bar etc, 1200 lumens and 12 months shop warranty-i.e. you get them replaced at the shop…..if they go wrong. Light off em is pretty impressive.

Grizedale Fox descent to ESTHWAITE, upto Sawrey and drop down to the ferry, easy peasy. Even better in a foot of snow.

My wife hasnt yet spoken to me after I rode home Sunday evening from the cricket club. She has shouted at me, blanked me etc… to be fair, 2.30 til 8.30 on Pedigree was perhaps a bit daft.. 😯

swapped from sky last month. two Tivo’s quite impressed, BB is excellent and appears to be what it says on the tin, XL tv package with HD upstairs and down, full sports package, free eve and w/e phonecalls, the you tube function is good as well, cant fault it really.

Check your freehub is also working properly. I put the wrong oil in mine and its gone sticky, so when Im descending or freewheeling over rough stuff, my chain is sagging.. causing it to drop onto the granny. winter lube is no good for king hubs 😯

2012 Remedy 9, collecting it Monday afternoon. I had a 2010 Remedy 9 and upgraded it to the 9.7 carbon earlier this year. It was nice, light and stiff, but not noticeably better than the alu version. I toyed with another carbon one, but the kit on the 9 was the swinger!

I’ve just sold my 2011 9.7 Remedy and am replacing with the Remedy 9. Kit on it as Rickon says is a big factor. I’ll probably stick some coil Lyriks on it as well, so weight is not really a factor, it will still come in under 30lbs. My 9 is en route to my LBS as i type!!!!

I hit a tree a few weeks back at just over 20mph….I feel your pain. My neck and shoulders have whiplash which I wasn’t aware of for a few days.
I would report the incident though….maybe a bit vague on the speed bit…

Nice ride on the chase last night, just 3 of us but we saw a good few lights around. re-claimed a couple of trails that have been overgrown, they were nice. Abbot Reserve after, quite a hefty ale.
