Budget wheels. I can vouch for these as being very tidy when I sold them to Paul and he's used them for maybe 2 rides.

He also has some very tidy Recon forks for sale with the steerer cur to fit a Scandal.

Great bikes by the way, for the money, unbeatable

I Just got a pair of Shimano 161's look a bit "Star Wars" but the best shoe I've ever had.

Plenty of clearance to spin the pedals. If you take the back wheel off, it tips forward to rest on the front wheel and vice versa if you take the front off it tips onto the back. If you take both off, it tips forwars to rest on the front dropouts, either ways, its better than tipping the bike upside down. I got the "prototype" MkII version that has a slightly bigger footprint, is a bit taller and gives more pedal clearance, but its only becuse I ride a 29er and wanted a bit more height. The MkI is fine for 26" wheels (and 29" in most cases). Best 30 quid I've spent in ages.

Thanks Guy's. I do share some concerns about the DT Forks, but I've got 15 months of warranty left on them so hopefully they should be covered, got them for a song so not to worried and they do look stunning. Similar the NoTubes tyres, the do look a bit delicate. I've ordered some Stans kits and Crossmarks for anything a bit gnarlier. They are very light and roll well tho. Its a shade under 24lbs without pedals which I'm pleased with for a big wheeler.

Its what Lynskey recommended for my height, they have shortened the seatpost significantly from last year but the top tube etc is the same. Either way, it fits me great. 16.5" seat tube, 11.5" seatpost showing…I like it.

The Helix tubeset is supposedly 20% stiffer for the same weight as plain. No idea whether that's bollix or not, but I like it 🙂

They are actually the Crows, I ordered Ravens, it said Ravens on the box, turned out to be Crows, couldn't be bothered sending them back and they compensated me with a quart of Stans sealant.

They are VERY light, a shade over 400g on the kitchen digi's, roll very well at about 25psi. Only a ride or two old, so can't comment further. I suspect they will be quite delicate and bloody expensive!!!!

My experiences have been mixed, but generally I try to avoid them. Ordered a Saris Bones rack which was listed as in stock. Immediately got a mail saying it was on back order, I needed it urgently so cancelled the order and bought elsewhere. 2 months later the rack arrived on my doorstep and my account was debited. Rang them to sort it and was passed from pillar to post with promises of returned calls that didn't happen. Ended up selling it to a friend at cost but it has put me off using them if I can help it.

    Flip side..

Last week ordered a charge saddle as they were the cheapest about… it arrived the next day

Stans rimstrips and standard Nobby Nics, took a few days/rides to stay inflated, but fine now.

I have XTR's on one bike, XT's on another and 540's on my trusty winter bike, honestly can't tell the difference, I think 540's are a fair step up from 520's so I think that's a premium worth paying, but I wouldn't go any higher with hindsight.
